My husband was in Masonic Home of Florida. I did not know that the they would take anybody that was not a Mason, but they did open it up to Non-Masons about two years ago. It was an excellent facility. It was a little further than I wanted to drive. It was a big facility, it was clean, and it was spacious. Everything about it was good. The nursing service was good. The social service was good. Everything was just very, very good. I recommend them highly. The condition of the place was excellent. It was immaculate. I've never been in such a clean nursing home, and I have been in many, and there were absolutely no odors. There were not a lot of carts cluttering up the hall. It was the nicest nursing home I've ever seen. The staff was exceptional. They really went out of their way to keep me informed about my husband's condition. He slept a good amount of time, and many times when I went in, he was sound asleep, but the staff would tell me exactly how his night was, how his morning was, whether he was eating, and whether he had to be medicated. They told me everything I needed to know. When I went to see my husband the very first day, I was amazed because I walked into his room and the room was approximately 14 by 19, it was huge. I've never seen such a large room in a nursing home and the bathroom was large. Everything was much bigger than I would expect. They had an exercise room, they had a room where everybody was doing crossword puzzles, they had another room where they were doing painting. I don't know what all the activities were because he was a bed patient and would not be doing any of those, but I saw all those rooms as I walked down the corridor. There were lots of activities. There was a little ice cream shop and a gift shop. There were a lot of a lot of things going on. They had a huge lobby, beautifully decorated. I saw people come down in the lobby and they would open up these cabinets. There were five or six big high-top desks, and they would open up the top of the cabinet, and they were mailboxes, so the mailboxes were all enclosed in cabinet, very different, and very nice. I was impressed with the amount of activities. Value for money is exceptional.

I toured Masonic Home of Florida. It was very clean and spacious. They had nice gardens for the patients to walk or be in a wheelchair. The staff was very professional. They have a barbershop, a library, and lots of rooms for games. They have a very nice outside area for people to go. It's a very welcoming place.

My husband was there for a year. The property is very nice and clean. The room was comfortable and the activities were pretty good. The food was awful and I often had to bring food in The nursing care was awful. He was often left unattended and called me for help. On 4 occasions he wasn’t picked up from doctor appointments. He called me often to help him

Both of my parents live at the Masonic Home. They have rooms that are side by side and have a door connecting them. They have been residents for 5 years in the assisted living portion of the Home. Yes, the rooms are smaller than the newer, fancy places, there is room for a dresser, twin bed and chair without it being cramped. The bathroom is spacious and again, somewhat old. The Home has been there a long time and they have recently done some renovations to the common areas in the building. I am in the business of assisted living and healthcare and would consider myself an expert on the industry. I have never been in a building as clean as this. I know where to look and I can't find one spec of dirt anywhere. The building is amazingly clean! So if you need new and fancy with a wow factor go elsewhere. If you want excellent, compassionate care from an organization that does good all over the world, come here. The staff is amazing, upper management has been responsive to issues or concerns and has reacted appropriately. If I had one concern that makes me pause it would be the food, there are continual comments from residents about the quality of the food and I can't say they're wrong. If you're looking for good quality care for aging relatives and are considering the Masonic Home of Florida rest assured that you will be very pleased here.

Masonic Home of Florida was fabulous. The staff was outstanding, very warm and welcoming. The only issue is that the size of the room was almost like a college dormitory. They had outings, bible study, and church services. They had menus that they provide each day, and they have residents that are involved in the menu selection process. They welcome the feedback from their residents. It's absolutely immaculate, but the size of the available rooms is somewhat limiting. You basically only have room for a bed and one dresser.

The Masonic Home was clean, well run, prompt with answering questions and seemed dedicated towards the care of their residents. They were well staffed and fast to help. The Masonic Home seemed to offer numerous activities for residents as well as showing a dedication to making sure residents received any additional care they needed. The food was excellent and well prepared and service to rooms was fast and on time. The rates for non-masons were more than competitive and the rates for masons were some of the best in the industry. I also noticed that the Masonic Home held almost no infringements from any governmental rating bored and ranked as the highest in the state. Honestly the Masonic Home seemed to be the best choice for the area with no question. Everything from the staff, to the facilities, to the general philosophy was absolutely top-notch with no lacking areas. I would personally recommend the masonic home to everyone looking for a place to live out their days in comfort and peace.

Located on the banks of Coffee Pot Bayou in St. Petersburg, Florida the Masonic Home of Florida is a beautiful facility on several pristine acres with many large oak trees, walking paths, a waterside gazebo, and a dock. Inside the home is sparkling clean and comfortable with a staff that is obviously caring, and knowledgeable. From the moment my parents and I first walked in we felt welcomed by the ambiance and the smiling faces.Regarding the care of my parents, my father's extended illness, and subsequent passing I have been nothing if not happy with every aspect of their care. Each step of the way during the progression of Dad's illness I received phone calls at all hours keeping me up to date on his condition. During the times he was hospitalized an attendant at the home drove my mother to visit him on a daily basis, and the nurse at the home was very helpful with setting me up with the right hospital staff and access to keep me informed by telephone. The facility itself is quite impressive with private rooms, efficient staff, regularly scheduled exercise and activities, and an outstanding nutritional program with in-room and cafeteria style facilities. Also, for a very reasonable fee, an on-premises guest house is also available for visiting friends and family. In caring for both of my parents for nearly two years now, The Masonic Home of Florida is not only a beautiful place; it has never once let me down!
