Putting a relative into skilled nursing on a permanent basis is a tough decision. I am a court appointed guardian and sister of a resident. I can not say enough good things about the Staff at Laurelwood. The professional staff is very caring and DO, ADON, Social worker and activities director are especially vigilant and caring. The majority of CNAs are quite good as well. Nursing staff for the most part are good and caring. This is a small facility that makes getting around easier for for residents. This facility is especially adept at managing residents with behavioral and mental Heath issues.

My mother was a resident of this facility since 2015. Well things started okay it got very bad. The doctor there was terrible, the director of nursing did nothing but try to cover her butt on issues. The administrator doesn't have a clue. and then in the end as my mother was dying they ran out of one of her pain medications. I tried to move her somewhere else, but couldn't find another place to get her into. I wouldn't put my most hated enemy in this place. I suggest you check all of the complaints that were filed with the state and if you're considering this place don't do it.

The worst place to send a love one. The room they had my son in was terrible. It had so many roaches in his room. They never came in and turned him. He was always in the same position.

don't put your loved ones in this place. this place is falling apart and is not kept up well. for the most part the staff is friendly and caring . the management there is awful. they will not follow up on family or resident complaints. staff has even called corporate about resident neglect and nothing has been done.

The employees at the facility were very kind and well kept. My niece and my girlfriend went inside to get my aunt. All the employees that saw me said help. After about 20 minutes they came back outside with my aunt. I only went to the facility to visit this one time. My aunt did seem to like her stay there and did not complain to me about anything. The facility was very clean and quiet. Myself my brother in law and my aunt stood and talked outside for about an hour and a half. The outside of the facility was well kept as well. Again the bulk of my experience there was with my aunt outside. Since my aunt did not have anything bad to tell me and she is very expressive about things she does not like and me having pleasant interactions with the staff I am sure the facility is doing a good job as a whole.
