My friend had stayed at Avalon Family Resort. It was a very nice place, but he could not get along with the help there. I had to take him out of there when he was only there for a week. I am not blaming the staff, but my friend just did not do well with women taking care of him, he was better off with the men. It was a small community and they only take about six people. The facility was very, very nice and the lady that ran it was excellent and very good to me. She helped me when I had to move Gary and it just did not work out there. When I went there, because of Covid, they would not let me anywhere except for the common area when you walk in, I did not see the bedrooms. It was a nice house. It was very residential and has nice houses around there. I think the staff was fine. Other than the fact that Gary just could not get a long with them, I think they tried to accommodate him, but he just was not cooperative at that point. He was pretty far into his dementia. She gave me a sample of the menu and it looked fine. The dining room was fine, from what I could see from where I was standing at the entry, it was fine. They had a little table where people sat.
