My uncle lived in Grand Court, but we got him out of there because something was going on with his health. I didn't have any issues when he was there. I didn't have any problems. It was good. I don't have anything negative to say about it. The staff was helpful and courteous. They were good. What I liked most about it was the location. I don't know much about the food. I know they ate three times a day and my uncle didn't have any complaints, so I guess it was OK. I don't know what they did Monday through Friday, but on weekends they had games for the seniors, and somebody came in to sing for entertainment. It was the best for what he could afford. His room was OK. I think the doctors could be more hands on with the residents. If the doctor was physically examining the residents, he would know my uncle had a hernia. That's what he had emergency surgery on. I don't know how often the doctor stops by, but they could be really more hands on with their residents. That was one of my concerns.

I like The W Assisted Living at Pompano Beach. It's under construction right now, but it's a nice facility. The admissions director was friendly and helpful. The facility was clean, and the rooms were clean. It seemed like they had a lot of activities to do. They have physical therapy. They have a salon. The housekeeping was really nice, and they have transportation if they need it. The receptionist was nice and helpful. I didn't really get the chance to really see too much staff. The facility was decent. They showed me what it's going to look like when they're done. Once they're done, it will look really nice.

My wife is in the memory care unit of The W Assisted Living at Pompano Beach. I chose them because it's the one that's close to my house and everything was very clean, including the parking lot. I walked through all the corridors and the smell was very good. I went into the kitchen too, and I was very happy with the way the kitchen looks. It's very clean, just stainless steel, and the people are very courteous. I ate lunch with her two times, and it was very well presented. I was very happy with it.

The staff truly care and go out of there way to help you. I got a call back just to check on me and let me know everything was going ok.

I love it here, but the lady hasn't called me back. We did an interview about three months ago. I liked it, but she said that they wouldn't accept my husband at the time. I called her back again, and she is not returning my call. They have a memory unit there. She showed me the whole thing. It was nice, bright, and very open. They had a section there for people who just want to watch TV, a library, a computer, a nice courtyard where they do barbecues on certain times, and live music. It was a nice place with nice rooms. I've talked with Amy, who was nice. I like her.

I am pleased. They have private, spacious rooms for everybody. So far, my friend seems to be pleased. It looks like a nice and neat place where you will never smell a bad odor or urine. They have exercise every day and a full program of activities, daily and monthly, including movies. It looks like a regular place to me with nothing fancy, but it's very adequate.

I had the opportunity to take a tour of this facility when I was assisting a family with a placement for a client. You walk into a very large open area that is set up as a living/dining area. The day that I visited it was decorated for a Carribean day celebration. The tables were decorated. There was a large buffet,a steel drum band. Clients had on hats and decorations. Everyone was clapping and seemed to really be enjoying it. I was told that they often have theme celebration days at the facilities. The room I visited is a large size room. It accommodates two residents, but they also also have single rooms available. We went out side to the beautiful courtyard where residents were sitting and chatting. One resident was petting her pet cat.Another was playing cards, another was doing crotchet. Everyone was engaged and involved. I noticed that no one was sitting to themselves. This is a bright and cheery environment. They provide transportation for shopping and outings to local venues. I was impressed.
