I highly recommend this facility, for many reasons, I have a relative there for over a month, I will say I go every single day! The staff alone is the most accommodating people, from the nurses, administration, and social worker. They have guided me through 1 of the toughest situations I have ever been in.I have learned so much through their guidance and kindness. I could never repay them for making me feel so comfortable in such a very uncomfortable situation. So thank u all!

My relative has been at this nursing home for a couple years but last year, they suddenly put him on psychotropic drugs that made him unable to speak up or ask for anything. He stopped eating and became contracted, lost 30 pounds, developed bedsores and more. The staff don't seem to care. They don't answer the phone or return calls.

We were not happy with Pompano Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. It was very old, and the care was not what we expected. My father basically did very little rehab, and I would not recommend it to anybody. He was there for six weeks and regressed. It was fairly easy to get to off the highway. The TV in the room was very tiny. It was not a nice place, and he was begging to get out of there. I had very little contact with the staff.

My critically ill brother was transferred to Pompano Health and Rehabilitation from a special care unit. Once, we found him in bed with a bin resting on his legs and in a bed smeared with feces from a dirty diaper. When this was brought to the attention of the nursing staff, we were treated with hostility. Several days later, I alerted the PA to the fact that my brother had greenish mucus oozing from his stoma (he had a history of pneumonia). I was told that it did not necessarily mean there was an infection present. Several hours later, I called 911 and he was admitted to North Broward. He died days later.
