This nursing home is the best nursing home my husband has ever been in. At all the other nursing home's my husband whom is disabled and cannot talk or walk use to call me everyday, all day. He is clean. They don't ignore him. He is happy. That's all that I ask of. I love this nursing home. Thank you for your excellent service. The staff is awesome, rooms are always clean. I visit my husband everyday. Thank God for blessing me to find this center.

My sister who has dementia was sent to Gulf Shore with COVID. She had no symptoms so she was to stay there for 10 days before discharge. By day 10, no one from Gulf Shore had contacted her facility to plan for her discharge. I placed 14 voice mail messages to every staff person there by day 15 to demand that they plan for her discharge with no response. I even contacted the State of Florida Ombudsman to see if I could just go there and get her. The nurse at her facility decided to also call every fifteen minutes until someone finally called her back. When they finally discharged her on day 16, she was wearing clothes that were many sizes too big and no shoes. I was told that there were no clothes in her room although I had brought her clothes previously. So I just took her as she was to get her out of there. I have not been able to retrieve any of her clothes.

My brother-in-law was a patient at this facility, being sent there from Palms of Pasadena Hospital with Covid. He is a 91 yr old person living on his own and sent home after having hardly no therapy whatsoever. Anytime I ever tried to reach a nurse or other person I ended up every time with no call returned. Their staff is very rude in talking to anyone. He was only home 1 day and had to go out in the rescue to St. Anthony's Hospital where he has bounced back so fast with the proper care and therapy. I would not even bring an animal to that facility and will certainly make sure none of our family will be either. SHAME ON THEM for taking these elderly peoples money

My dad was in this facility from 7/8 to 7/12 after being transferred from Morton Plant with no symptoms of COVID, but having tested positive. He could not hear well nor see well. Because of COVID, no family member could visit. We could only take the facilities' word that they were taking good care of him. We could not get the case worker to respond to us in any way. He was transferred nonresponsive to Northside Hospital on 7/12 and subsequently passed away. We have been trying to locate his jewelry that he was wearing and cannot get Gulf Shores to look in their safe for this jewelry.

Most gentlemen staff members are unfriendly and treat residents and visitors with little respect. Most female staff members were much better. My husband had his phone stolen. We were promised reimbursement which never happened. My husbands amputation wound became so infected here that he had to have another amputation. Very unhappy with this facility.

Gulfshore made it very easy to pick a rehab for my aunt. When I asked for a tour, the wait was under two minutes. The Admissions staff were very knowledgeable and answered all of my questions. The building was clean and it did not smell. I toured Gulf Shore first and toured five other places; and after visiting Gulf Shore, it was an easy decision because they set the tone and met every expectation we had bringing our aunt into their rehab. The staff were very nice and all smiled and said hello. I knew this was the place I'd lay my own head if I needed to do so. Our experience has been nothing but exceptional and the Director of Nursing was very professional. He made sure my aunt was comfortable and all of her needs were met. Gulf Shore will always be my number one choice.

My mother is on the long term care side of this facility and is completely disabled, unable to do anything for herself. Most of the staff are very rude to her and have zero compassion. She was recently told by a staff member that she needed to do things on her own, which she can't. She tried and fell, injuring herself in the process. I was not notified and did not find out until I visited her later that day. I expressed my concerns with the Management and was assured this would never happen again. To say the least there was yet another incident. This is a terrible place, do not put your loved one here.

I dis enrolled my family member from their managed care hmo just to get them in here. was never unhappy. from the direct care staff to the top notch rehab to the mgmt. team i couldn't find an area to criticize. i am sure their care extended my persons life as her prognosis was bleak. in the end they were there when i wasn't and stayed by her side till i arrived shortly after she died. i am a health care professional and work in these environments, trust me when i say this place is the best in Pinellas county .

My sister was in Gulf Shore before. They were pretty good but a lot of the nurses are not properly trained to deal with schizophrenic people so they don't know how to handle my sister. They were trying to do physical therapy things that she couldn't do coordination wise, that is because she has a tumor in her brain. I was a little disappointed with that.

My friend Gerald was a resident of Gulf Shore. It's off the main road but it's landscaped very nice. It's a very good place. The rooms were good. Usually there were two residents in a room, but they had their own individual closet and TV. The staff were very nice and very professional. The services were good. They had a lot of outings that they took the resident on. However, he was having problems swallowing their food. It needs to be chopped up. The food was not very appetizing to him. They were right up on everything but they could improve on the food quality.

My mother-in-law is at Gulf Shores Nursing home. She is 94 years old, deaf, and has macular degeneration. She receives social security and has private health coverage. She's also receiving Medicare and Medicaid to pay her stay. It's not easy to live in a nursing home. You will always have its good days and bad days, but this one is always consistently great. Even with her situation right now, the staff are always making sure she's getting the right care and attention. With every situation like hers, it's never been easy. But I'm really amazed with all the staff. They are very professional, knowledgeable, and it seems like they really know what they are doing. I will recommend this nursing home to all the people who need professional and warm care for their loved ones.
