I would absolutely NOT put a relative in this facility. Totally understaffed, food is expired and disgusting ( my mom had insects in her food), did not receive the physical therapy nor the proper care she needed and deserved, always running out of her pain meds. My mom was in this facility during COvID so it was difficult to visit and keep an eye on what was going on. My mom LINGERED in her bed for seven months. I asked that she come home to administer home health care, they dropped her in my driveway with a wheelchair too big to fit in my door (had to call the fire department for assistance), a box of RX's that had the fill date as February (she came home in May), three injections I had NO idea how to administer, and 7 pages of almost blank discharge paper with absolutely NO instructions. Too bad there is ZERO stars. That's what I'd give it!!

My mother is in Bay Tree Center. She was sent there after a fall. I absolutely won't recommend it. I'm looking to have my mom rehabilitated and get out of there, because it's not a good facility. They're totally understaffed, the place itself, the phone isn't answered at times, they're very unorganized, there are obviously too many patients to a nurse and a social worker, or anybody else in there. I had stuff delivered to my mom to get to her room, and they're missing. They can't control patients that have dementia, so they're able to take other people's goods, laundry is a nightmare, my mom has been missing stuff, they don't know what happens to it. My mom has complained about the food, which of course they all do, because you're not eating in a high-quality restaurant. My mom is diabetic, I've asked how many times for a nutritionist or dietitian to go ahead, it seems everybody gets the same food. It's older looking, obviously it's a larger facility, and I just think they have many issues to address, and some of the staff I talked to also agree inside of the staff. There is a director that just came in from another facility, and she promised that she's gonna make this a five-star place, because that's where she came from and did that. I hope for the people in there that that actually happens. She has been very much helpful, so that has changed things around, but how far it goes, I don't know.

I am being denied In-Patient Visits with my ex-husband. No one, Bay Tree nor his Guardian will give me a reason why. I continually ask questions about his lack of adequate health care which seems to be problematic. Consumer Beware!!!

This place is outdated and dirty. There are a couple good staff ,but most are rude and disrespectful. The food is not edible. I was given rotten food the other night and they keep sending the wrong food, so I have not even eaten today. I think there would be a lot more complaints if people were able to communicate, but most have dementia. I came here as a last resort and did not expect it to be this bad. The activities are suitable for small children. They have nothing for adults to do besides smoke and watch TV. You only get a bath twice a week. The med passes are not on time . Sometimes they are hours late. The nurse does not include you in what meds you are taking. Right now med passes are about 2 1/2 hours late. The nurse was really rude when she came by and asked what meds I wanted. I asked her what was due and she replied that I should know what I’m on. I should and would if it was not so irregular.

I have visited this center several times and find the staff very friendly. It is always clean and the residents are smiling and happy. One thing that always stands out is the nursing staff and resident interaction which is pleasant when you have to think about placing your loved one in a nursing home. They will keep you informed and help you every step of the way, highly recommended

I had a two week stay at Bay Tree center in July 2017. Very impressed by the professionalism of the facility. The staff were kind and courteous and strived to meet my needs. The therapy was excellent. The place was very clean and had no odor. Would highly recommend.

Definitely severe administration issues. We have had many problems with poorly trained nursing aides (some that just don't care) Most of the nurses are great and the good CNAS are really good and pull the weight of the bad ones. Place is very clean. Problems with getting the correct diet (food usually awful) patients washed without soap and dried without towels, no restorative therapy that was promised while without Medicare coverage for physical therapy, multiple falls due to staff being poorly trained, and an administration that makes promises they don't keep to rectify these issues then step in when it benefits them only. Staff is often frustrated, short handed and high turnover. Need better people in charge.

Place is clean enough, care is terrible, patients crying in the hall, staff walks by. Food looks terrible, patients in main dining area that can not feed themselves. Would NOT recommend

My mother didn't like her experience at Bay Tree. The staff there was horrible. They were very mean to her, and I did not like them. The hospital had given her something that she was allergic to. They gave her oxycodone, and she kind of went out of her mind. They were telling me that my mother has Alzheimer's, and she was too hard for them to handle. I had to come there at 5:00 in the morning, and they practically yelled at me to come there; it was her first night there. It made her hallucinate, and they couldn't take care of it. They got mad at me and yelled at my mom. I am not happy with Bay Tree at all with their nursing staff. One woman said, "You need to come in here, and take care of your responsibility," and I said, "Isn't it your responsibility, and we're paying for it?" She said, "It's not my responsibility; you get in here and calm your mother down." She had to stay there for a month, and everything was OK after that. The food was Ok, and the place was clean enough.

Bay Tree Care is very disturbing, and the administration was slow to react when we had issues. They didn’t explain to us how financing and Medicare works, and we really had to be present daily to get things completed for our mother. The rest of the staff was great, but we had problems with the administration. The administration should pay more attention and respond in a timely manner to their residents and to the residents’ families.

My sister was in this facility for 7 days, for the whole time she was there, NO ONE changed her bed linen. She had to ask 4 times for pain meds. She'd ask someone to remove her tray, and they would say " Oh the aide does that". Or she would ask an aide something, and they would say "Oh the nurse does that". The staff was pleasant enough but they sure did not do much. One time my sister wheeled herself out into the hallway, and they all standing around at the nurses station, laughing and joking around. No one asked if she needed anything, they just looked at her. The food they served was not always the greatest. There was some sort of crud on the mirror in the bathroom, never removed, or washed off. I would definitely NOT recommend this facility to anyone.

My father has been is this facility twice and has gone back in for two weeks due to a fall at home. The care in this facility is wonderful. The staff takes time with their residents and treats them with kindness and care. They have both short term residents and long term as well. The facility is clean and well maintained. There is very good securiy for the residents as well.
