My sister moved to North Port Pines. I love it because it's clean, no smell, and the people are very nice and very professional. The meals were good. I tasted the food and everything. I liked the taste of the food and it was very satisfying. The staff was very helpful and very loving to all the patients. The amenities looked like a hotel. They have bingo, they have ball games, and they watch TV. The young people come in and mingle with the older people.

My mother moved into North Port Pines. I like everything about it. It's clean. They're caring. She likes the food, it's good and hot. They do her laundry. They make sure she has her meds. It's a beautiful place. They have a variety of activities. They do have bingo, movie nights, music, karaoke, game nights, and they even have outings where they can go out to a restaurant. Her room is nice. She's got a little living room, a kitchen, her bathroom, and her bedroom with lots of closets. The bathroom is safe with all the grab bars. There's a call button in all the rooms with long cords. The staff is very friendly, from the custodians to the management. I've never run across anyone there that's not been nice. It's a good value for the money. It's just a great place, and she likes it. She's happy there, and that's important. We visited a lot of places around North Port, and even a couple in Venice, and this was, by far, the best.

North Port Pines was a great facility. Mom had a room by herself, but she didn't even stay the night there. She was only there for two hours, and she fell in the bathroom. I liked the place. I liked the accommodations and the people were fine. The staff was great. Every time I was there, they were always doing something with the residents. They had an outside area. They were going to do a Veteran's Day thing over there for all the veterans they got in there. Restaurants are just right down the street and then the hospital's not that far away, probably a couple of miles.

I visited North Port Pines independent living facility, but it's got assisted living as well. It was very nice and I like it. The staff was very knowledgeable and answered all the questions I had. They had Bingo, outings, and transportation to physician appointments. If they need help, there's always somebody available. It was very clean and organized, and I saw no clutter.

My wife has been there over 3 months and she is in late stages of dementia. Frankly, she is tough to handle. Pauline[GM] and her staff do a excellent job...actually going beyond!. Very clean and food excellent. Have thoroughly checked out other "homes"; they don't compare. I highly recommend. Ron G.

My mother was in North Port Pines. What we didn’t like about it was that their three levels of care were co-mingled. It was difficult for those who were higher functioning because there weren’t as many people to talk to, and they were waiting for meals for a long time when the people who needed the extra care were taken in their wheelchairs. The staff was very kind and very nice, the meals were fine, and the care was excellent. It was a locked down facility, which wasn’t pleasant for the people who didn’t need that level of memory care.

We chose Northport Pines Retirement Center for mom because it was clean and the people are nice. The manager was really nice and caring person. Mom has an apartment wherein it has a room with a little kitchenette, a bathroom, and a walk-in closets. The staff are all very nice, they are very caring with everybody, and they would go out of their way to help anybody. I did eat there and the food was very good. They have a wonderful selection of food and they do a very nice job on it. They also have different activities there like exercise classes five days a week. They have card playing and my mom likes to do that. This is a nice place for people to retire.
