My mom is at Valdes Retirement Home II. It's pretty well managed. The ladies are really nice. I would love her to move closer to me, but I do like the services that I am receiving right now. They're great. They're top of the line. She has dementia. The facility is clean. The ladies are polite. They're warm and very friendly. Any questions that I have, Liz has always been very prompt to answer them very quickly. I really like the service. They have six residents in total. There's like three or four bedrooms, and then within every bedroom there's like two tenants. They do games, and they do the ladies hair and nails and stuff like that. Most of the tenants there are not very mobile, so there's not really much they can really do as far as like going outside. Both of the staff members are Spanish speakers. They're very lovig and warm, and they really want to build a relationship with the tenants that are there. They're very friendly with my mom and very playful. The facility itself is very clean and well-kept, and it's very well managed and pretty up-to-date with documents. Liz is always on top of making sure that the proper documents are always filled out. She knows everything that's going on, so that's great to know. I haven't tried the food, but my mom seems to love it. She has gained some weight. I would say the cost is reasonable compared to what's out there now; it's kind of ridiculous. My mom is like in her early 60s, and whatever money she has it has to stretch, so it's great to feel like you're getting a good deal, and the people there like her and take care of her, and she's always smiling when I come over there. It's good to know that she's well taken care of and her money can probably last for a while.
