My tour of Vista Lake Memory Care was very nice. I was impressed, but their shared rooms are just one great room and there is no privacy in that at all. They had outdoor space that was much more limited than the other places. But it was very nice and very clean. The person who took me around was well-informed and forthcoming with all the information. They offered at least three meals a day.

We met Coral at Vista Lake Memory Care. I was not impressed at all. Their prices were not great. They cannot dispense insulin, and Dad is an insulin-dependent diabetic, so he couldn't stay there. They also didn't have a diabetic friendly menu. There was nothing great about the facility itself, nor the rooms. It looked old and dated, and it was just as much money as the other places. Once they said that they couldn't dispense the insulin shots, that they couldn't help him with it, we knew it couldn't be, so we didn't get into detail. I liked the area where it was. It was a little secluded. It had some nice trees.

It was nice. I liked the courtyard in the center where they can go out in the memory care unit, but they can't leave. They can walk around in the yard and sit outside. The rooms were very nice. They had a lot of activities, they had a barber shop and doctors coming in, and they had cultural events. The staff was very nice. There were two buildings, one for assisted living and one for memory care.
