My dad selected Vista Lake Assisted Living and had moved in already. He has his own living area. He can have conversations and can have some company and some interactions with other folks his own age. He very much likes having three meals a day readily available, so we don't have to worry about any of that. And from my perspective, there's also someone there to make sure he's taking his medication on time. The staff is super friendly, very responsive, and very welcoming. They are making some updates to the place. However, I think the only thing was they were almost too accommodating to my dad in the beginning. Like my dad was not wanting to go out to the cafeteria and eat, so they would bring food to him. But then when we encouraged them to help him with the routine, they certainly did that. For amenities, they have a barber, which is very convenient. They offer transportation to and from doctor's appointments, which is very helpful. They have outside activities that they are welcome to go to.

Vista Lake Assisted Living was a little bit of an older place, but it was kept up nicely. The staff was nice and knowledgeable. They seemed to have everything that my mom would need and they seemed to want to help her get to where she needed to be. They had places to sit, places to walk around, and places to play games. They were remodeling the place and there were some construction areas. But the work they've done seemed to make the place a whole lot better. It was located close to restaurants and there's a hospital right across the street.

The tour at Vista Lake Assisted Living was good. The staff who met us covered all our questions. We saw one of the rooms and the eating area, and it went very well. It seemed like a good facility. They were having chapel at the time, so that was good to see that. They do not have a library room. As far as having a room that you can sit in, they do not have that there. We saw a menu, and it looked nutritious. The dining area was very clean and colorful, so it would be nice. When we first walked in, we talked to one of the ladies who was cleaning up from lunch. The staff that I met are exceptional.

Vista Lake Assisted Living seemed fine to me. I wasn't that impressed, but it was clean and well cared for. The lady that brought me around was very knowledgeable. The director was late coming in. She was not there when I arrived, so I only got to meet her briefly. The courtyard was confined because it's part of the memory care facility.

The employees at Vista Lake Assisted Living acknowledged us right away as soon as we came into the facility. The tour was given to us by the administrator, and I really liked her. She was friendly and enthusiastic. It seemed like a good facility overall. It was clean. The rooms were nice. They were a good size. We met some residents, and people seemed to like it there. Actually, they were going through some renovations, and it was a bright atmosphere.

Rooms are OK Some higher staff are rude and doesn't communicate with family at all. Must of the nurses and care takers are very good. Food not very good. If you have a dietary special diet they don't comply. Very nice at the beginning when you meet then once they are they Not so nice.

The food at Vista Lake Assisted Living is pretty good, but the people that work in the food area are kind of grumpy. Most of the facility has two rooms, but my sister only has one of the two rooms, and there's another woman living in the other room. They have to share a bathroom and there's no door for any privacy, that's why I wanted to move her. The grounds are kept nicely. There's not a big area for walking, but there's a little path and a little table and chairs out there, which is nice. They have flowers and trees and stuff. The place seems to be kept clean. The sliding door for the bathroom in my sister's place was kind of falling off, and I mentioned it to somebody and the guy came within like ten minutes and fixed it. Overall, it's good. They have bingo and entertainment every week. We did go to the one where a gal sang, and she was really good and very entertaining. They have a hairdresser there. It seems well run and clean. Aside from the dining room staff being kind of grumpy, the rest of the people there were very friendly and very nice. My sister said there's a new gal there that just started and she's very sweet, so she's very happy with her. They have trivia and stuff like that, too.

We toured Vista Lake Senior Living Center. The staff was pretty courteous, but the front door was unlocked, and we didn't like that too much. They showed us a room. The one room had a bunch of junk in it and was being used as a storage room, so that wasn't very good. Plus, the carpets were all stained. So, we didn't like that too much either. But they were going through a renovation and working on changing all that, so at least they're working on it. They were very nice, and they explained everything. They said that they could take care of my mom and they could provide the care for her. We didn't go over the financing that much because the person of finance was not there at that time. It's basically full assistance for helping get dressed, feed, and in and out of the bed. The staff was pretty good. We saw the salon, spa, the library, and the dining room.

Vista Lake Assisted Living would be the only community that would work with the amount of income that my mom had monthly. There are only about 29 residents, so I felt that a smaller community might be better for her. The facility looks nice. They're in the process of tearing up the rugs in the hallway or any of the rooms. My mom's going to be in a room that has the wood floors ready so they're updating and it was acceptable. The staff were all exceptionally nice and they all seemed to have been there quite some time. It didn't appear to be that there's a turnover of employees. They all knew each other well on the way they were talking (whether they were even talking to me or talking to each other). It was different. They were much nicer people and more caring. They had a nice little porch outside with birdhouses and bird feeders and a screened-in porch. So, it's got a more homey feeling.

My uncle has moved into Vista Lake Assisted Living. It's been great. The staff is welcoming and we like the fact that the place is smaller. It's not overly large, so it's good for the elderly and new people coming in, that they're not overwhelmed. He says the food is wonderful. He's comfortable in his room. He has a larger space, so it's adequate for him. There are a few things that could probably be remodeled, but most of it is great for one person. The common areas are nice and spacious. The dining room is very nice and it's always set up very nicely. They have a small movie area. The living room is nice. They've recently remodeled the entryway, the living room, and the dining room for family or guests. They're in the process of remodeling and putting down new floors and it's beautiful. There's a nice activity hall and they do a lot of activities there and it's always set up nicely. They have everything, like sit-down exercising, they do walks, they play games, they play bingo, they meet together, and they have different religious gatherings. They just had a mini New Year's Eve gathering for the residents and had a little party. They take trips. There are plenty of activities to keep people busy if they choose. The staff has been great getting us boarded. They made the process seamless.

My mother has moved into Vista Lake Assisted Living. They're very helpful and efficient in getting her into the facility because I had to do it pretty quickly. They bent over backward to help facilitate that. She has only been here a few weeks, but we're very happy with everything, the care, and the facility in general. Her room is very clean and comfortable. They've been very accommodating in doing laundry when needed. They have bingo, prayer service, and drawing and painting activities. They have people come in such as singers and musicians to entertain the residents. They have a movie room, and they have a little area where they do arts and crafts. They have an outside screened-in porch area, which is very nice, and also an outside courtyard that the residents can go in at their leisure.

The staff members here were so awesome and the community was very warm and open. The food was superb. It was as good as going to a 5-star restaurant. They have card games, painting classes, they take people out to restaurants, and they take them shopping. The place itself is immaculate and absolutely gorgeous when you walk in. They have a snack area all day long. You can go and have cookies, coffee and tea all day long, which is very nice. They showed us both memory care and assisted living because we feel my mother-in-law needs memory care. I really love that place.

I liked it very much. The location was good, and the place was clean. We had a food lunch there. It was a great experience. They had an activities director and a lot of activities. They were building puzzles and playing games and so on.

It was a very nice place. The staff was very cordial and everything there was fine. The rooms were certainly adequate and the dining room as well. I believe they do have an activity calendar. It’s a nice place and I would recommend it.

We moved my uncle in. We chose it because of the apartment-like rooms that they had. They were very accommodating and friendly. My uncle says the food is good. I know that they have concerts and he's doing puzzles. I know that he's taking trips outside to Publix and Wal-Mart. I know that's what he's participating in. They also have bingo and bocce and exercise classes. He's got dementia, so there's no way he can't be happier.

My sister has been here since the 1st of September. It was the closest and it had everything and more than we could expect for assisted living. Staff seemed very happy and cordial with the people who live there and with each other. They are pleasant to us when we come. Rooms are small with living room, kitchenette, bedroom, and bathroom. My sister says the food is very, very good.
