My sister will be moving to St Joseph's Residence. They have just opened it up because of COVID. We're just waiting for the appointment. Her room is already fixed. Actually, my brother is already there, so it was an easy transition to get her in there. My brother has been there for years. He is in a one-bedroom apartment, which is what my sister is going to have. He absolutely loves it. The staff is very friendly. He loves the food. It's very nice and very clean. He gets a menu to choose from every day. He can eat it in his room or he can eat in the dining room. The facilities have recently been updated, so they're all beautiful and they looked brand new. They have games, they have a library, and they have activities all the time. It's all by choice. They always advertise it. There's a music room, and they got a lot of things going on. All of these places have high value for money, but I think it would still be because of how nice it is. It's a Catholic facility run by the Catholic diocese in the area down there. They will have mass every day at the facility once COVID is out of the way. Most of these residents are Catholic so they could go to mass every day.

A staffer named KIM was extremely rude, forceful and callous toward a resident and myself. Manager attempted to intervene, but KIM just kept going at it, shouting, name calling and making a scene. Nothing else was done to remove KIM from this situation upsetting the resident terribly. Totally unacceptable treatment of the resident.

My father is very happy at St. Joseph's Residence. He has a nice one-bedroom apartment, living room, big bathroom, and big bedroom. They take care of everything for him even though he can do a lot. They have something going on every day. They exercise, make beads, play bingo, there's entertainment, and happy hours where they serve beer and wine. The staff is wonderful. They have a doctor who comes in. He's been on pureed diet, but I've eaten with him a few times and I enjoyed it. He also has a kitchen but no stove. He has a microwave and a full-size refrigerator, and they're furnished too. It's a gated community. The hospital, assisted living, Alzheimer's place, and rehab are in separate buildings, but everything is in one area. We also chose it because it is Catholic; they have a church so you can go to mass every day. You get more for your buck there.

I’m in St. Joseph’s Residence. It’s a completely gated community. I love it; it’s everything I expected. I’m so comfortable here. It’s a community, so it’s nice. We have 3 meals a day in the dining room. We have activities. I go out shopping once a week, and we go out to eat a couple of times a month to restaurants. Most Catholics find it very comfortable here because they have a chapel. We go to mass almost everyday. They have some activities like bingo. They give you snacks. They have a movie once a week. They do the laundry once a week. They come and change your bed once a week. They vacuum and clean everything. I got a very good apartment. I have a kitchen. They’re nice-sized rooms, and they’re essentially air-conditioned. I’m on the fourth floor, so I have a nice view. The nurses come in, and they check every 2 hours to see if everything is OK. They help me take a shower because I can fall. I need somebody with me, and they help me dress. I like the atmosphere. The people are nice. The nurses are very good. They not only have assisted living here, but if there was anything wrong with me, they have a rehabilitation center which is St. Anthony’s in the same enclosed area. They also have a nursing home, after that, they have a hospice not far, and after that, they have a cemetery.

I have a friend living in St Joseph's Residence. The facility is quite nice. It seems to be clean. Everything is fine. They give my friend three meals a day. Food is excellent. It's like eating in a restaurant. He likes this place. There's plenty of people there that looks after him. It is very expensive though. Anyway, it seems like no matter where you go, they're all expensive.

We went to St. Joseph and we thought it was nice. They had a chapel and a Priest goes there every day. They had activities like bingo and people came in to sing and play the piano. However, it was too far away.

St. Joseph Residence is the closest to my house. It was clean and the people were very nice. It was the atmosphere I was looking for. They have both assisted living and a nursing home, but in separate buildings. I had some of the food and it was good. My mother gained weight when she was there for a few days when I was away. I would go back there again.

I visited this facility when I had to assess a client. She shared a suite with another resident. The facility has three floors. Both residents and staff seem to enjoy living here, as there are smiles all around. The facility is under the auspices of Catholic Services. On the day that I visited, I observed one group of clients doing chair aerobics and another group listening to music and singing. The client that I visited said she very much enjoyed the singing group. The client reported that she felt very loved and cared for at this facility. Her needs are being taken care of and all she needs to do is to live her life. She reported that her family visits as they can and arae pleased with her living there. She said that she goes downstairs to eat in the dining room. The aides help her with her bathing, housekeeping and laundry. I would recommend this facility to those who require some assistance with daily living.
