My grandmother is currently at Palm Garden of Pinellas. Since she's been there, she has liked it. And we do too, as a family. It's been wonderful. I love that they have a 24-hour visitation. You can go any time. The open-door policy there just means they have nothing to hide. Everybody there has been so wonderful, just always positive. I don't ever see any of the staff getting cranky. I've never seen anybody being irritated by the residents, on both sides, because we walk across the whole facility to get to my grandma's room. And anybody that is ever around just seems pleasant. I know that they're taking good care of her, and I've seen them take good care of her. There are no smells there. My grandmother doesn't ever look disheveled or like they're not taking care of her. She's never dirty or smelly, and I've gone at different times of the day. Me and my husband have even eaten the food there because they have a dining room where you can eat with your loved one, and the food is good. I feel like they've built a good rapport with the staff because when I see them, they're all very loving to the residents. They joke around and they laugh and have fun. The environment that they create is nice and very comforting. The staff there has just overall been fabulous. They took my grandma out to a pumpkin patch around Halloween, and she picked out her own pumpkin. They took her even though she was in a wheelchair and couldn't walk, and that was amazing for me. They have also asked me what she likes to do and supplied her with coloring books and paint-by-numbers.

My husband is in Palm Garden of Pinellas. It seems to be very good, it's a clean facility. The nurses are very good and the aides. Food isn't bad either. It had a good reputation. They have activities and they take them out for a day trip. They do little painting and little games. Great physical therapy. They do good at that, too. They have an activity room with movies and games. They have a lovely, little patio to go out and visit. Very nice.

Rooms aren't safe. No alarms in rooms so if one gets out of bed no one knows. Hard wood floor, no slippers with non skid material on the. Staff was very unfriendly and unhelpful won't answer questions after my loved one fell and was there for less than 8 hours. She died a few days later as result of the fall!!! I didn't see the residents enjoying activities. Nurse Carol that's on during the day very uncooperative and her aid was horrible also.

DO NOT PUT YOUR LOVED ONE HERE! Does not deserve 1 star!! My mom was admitted at 5pm Friday. Over the weekend I called nurses station to ck if she'd been assessed. My mom kept saying she HAD NOT been. I was lied to and told she had been. Saw Admissions on Sun at 6pm and told her mom hadn't recv'd PT in 48 hrs-Adm sd "She must've been accessed, we don't get paid if she hasn't been." That evening Admin called to confirm several patients HAD NOT been assessed and the PT had been fired. Mon at 11am was told mom had therapy and was tired. This was the first PT in 65 hrs at the facility. Next call was 6pm. Mom was being rushed to the hospital - she had suffered A STROKE!! My very viable mom now can hardly speak. She sd they kept trying to wake her up but but she couldn't say anything. How long had she laid there helpless + 65 hrs of no therapy? Insult to injury..claim must've immediately been sent to insurance co who sent me a notice days later that rehab had been paid! I'm disputing the payment and provided all names, dates and times as proof.

My mother was in Hospice Care at Palm Garden. I am so thankful for the wonderful care she received while there. The nurses, CNA's and every other worker on the wing she was on went above and beyond anything we could have imagined. They were absolutely wonderful, Thank you from the bottom of my heart!

I thought they were very good at Palm Garden of Pinellas. They had a lot of activities, the rehab was good, and everybody was very friendly. It was a very nice place and very clean. I liked the fact that they had the activities. The nurses were attentive to my mom and made sure that she got to do everything including activities. And then, the social services were good because they explained a lot of things to us about what we can do and gave us a lot of information.

My mother has been in Palm Garden for about a month now, and this is one of the best in town. The nurses are excellent. I've not had one single problem. The physical therapy is terrific. It's a really good place, and they have the best help ever.
