My husband is in La Ritane. The person who runs it is a registered nurse with 17 years experience, and she's an angel. It's a private home and right now she has four men in there. My husband is stage six in Alzheimer's. This home is absolutely beautiful and spotlessly clean. Help is there besides the nurse. The staff is absolutely excellent. The rooms are spacious and clean. Their every need is met. Two people share a bedroom, and they each have their own La-Z-Boy chair, and a double bed. It's a big house and it's very spacious. The atmosphere is loving, caring, and cozy. The lady in charge sends me videos almost every day, and it really keeps me in touch. It's within the town of Kissimmee in a neighborhood. She said it's close to the senior center and she takes them to the senior center once every two weeks. I didn't try the food, but she appears to be a good cook. When I was there the other day she had chicken cut up in small pieces. My husband had macaroni and cheese, fresh avocado, and wild rice. One person dined at the bar and two of them dined at the kitchen table in the kitchen. She has a dining room table where she has special holiday meals, and on Christmas she even dressed them in matching pajamas. My husband doesn't participate in much now, but they've got dominoes, jigsaw puzzles, and stackable things. She takes them to bingo at the senior center. They do activities. My husband likes to walk, and one of the guys there takes his hand and walks him around the house. It's perfect. They have an activity room with all the games in it, and checkers. They have a big, outdoor backyard fenced in, but they keep the house locked at all times, so people like my husband cannot escape. Cleanliness is excellent. You don't even smell anything. It's very, very reasonable, because I was paying $5,000 a month at the other place, and I'm paying $4,000 a month at this private home.

I toured La Ritane. I was taken care of by the person who runs it. She was very informative and very friendly, and she looked like she had a passion for what she was doing. The place was very immaculate. The people that were there looked very comfortable. I saw a very nice dining area and everything was very clean. They help with the medications. They make sure the medications are taken properly. They have a nurse practitioner available to them at any given time. They have transportation to their doctor's appointments if the doctor's appointments are nearby. They take them on outings every once in a while. They also take them to a senior center so they can interact with the other seniors.

What I like best about La Ritane is that the staff were very enthusiastic. They looked like they loved what they did. The community was super clean. The least thing I like is that most of the rooms are shared rooms. They have a bunch of activities though. They go on outings. They have outings where they coordinate with other facilities for celebrations and karaoke. They also do smaller gatherings. They have smaller outings like just going out for ice cream to keep the residents engaged. I didn't try their food. But I saw one of the residents eating oatmeal and berries, and you can't go wrong with that. And it seems like they have enough staff for the residents.

I liked La Ritane. It was very nice. The rooms were very nicely maintained. A little bit of concern was that it was so nice, I got a little bit scared that some of the decorations might get broken. It's not like a hospital setting. It's nicely decorated. They are taking the residents here and there. The lady showed me the place where they went for bingo and they also went to the park nearby. They have a very big backyard. They can freely go outside. They have a person who can accompany the resident and they even go out in front of the house and that's very relaxing. It's a very nice way how to handle people. It's a memory care kind of community. It is locked at night and they have a camera and everything to make sure at night nothing can happen, but it's a more relaxed setting. The staff who showed me around is the owner and she is a retired registered nurse, so she has the knowledge and she has experience with residents with memory problems.

The owner of La Ritane was a very nice person. We had a good time just looking around. It was more homey. I believe it was good for people that were really alone. There were just a few people she's taking care of, which was also good. The only thing was that because it was a house, she could not provide private rooms for each person. The residents there looked pretty happy. She actually told us about a lot of different activities that they do with them. They go out to different places, like festivities and parks. They go to restaurants together. They also had a Christmas party and holiday barbecues. They had a big screened porch where they did activities, like table games. I saw the front of the house where they could actually sit down and just look at the beautiful gardens. The staff interacted a lot with the residents there and they looked very caring.

My brother is in La Ritane. I like everything. He's happier there. He's receiving good services there. Good environment. The food is good. Good care. He just went to an activity today. It is really fun for him. The owner is very involved. She's always there. The nurse is taking care of him. I'm really happy with that place. The staff is very good. There is always someone there besides the owner who helps. We had an issue with him walking out from another facility in the past. This place that he's in now, I feel more secure that he won't walk out and get lost. The place is really nice, really clean, and it looks like home. It's very peaceful. They only have five residents, so it's working out really well for him. Everything's beautiful.

La Ritane is a private home and they are gonna have about five clients. It was excellent. I thought my sister just needed more people around. The owner was very conscientious and she was a registered nurse. She's new to the arena. If the other place didn't work out, I might switch my sister over to La Ritane. It's a very nice house and super clean. She does all the meals, and she's very attentive. She only has one client right now, but she has someone else coming and she's gonna have a total of about five. She gave us information, sat down with us for a while, took us around the house, and told us what her services are. She was very good. I didn't get to sample food, but she does provide food. She's just getting started. She's hiring staff and things like that, and she followed up. Some of them don't even call you back ever. She followed up to see what we were looking for and if we had made a decision, so I appreciated that as well.

We visited this lovely facility. It has a sweet, cozy environment and is serviced by a very caring retired nurse. The neighborhood is quiet. I would recommend you to visit. We just couldn't afford rates. We were there to get information so we couldn't give meals or activities an accurate review.
