I broke my femur and stayed from Dec 11, 2024 to Dec 20th. The rooms were fine. I had the best care I could possibly ask for. I was very lucky to have 2 CNA's who happened to have to work a lot of shifts during that time. Their names are Leni and Dennis. They were compassionate and kind, and made me smile even when I wanted to feel sorry for myself. The nighttime CNA Vickie retired after being there for 30 years. She was wonderful and knew her stuff for sure. On the whole I would give the staff 5 stars. I needed rehab and there again I couldn't have asked for better care. Suzanne, Dora, Lauren, Ben, and Rickie got me on my feet and ready to go home. They work so hard to get some of these uncooperating patients to just move a little. You get 3 hot meals a day if you have a stomach for it. I didn't, so I wasn't that interested in the meals. I would definitely recommend Solaris for anyone who needs rehab.

Solaris Healthcare Bayonet Point doesn't have a memory care unit, which is kind of a concern. They have people there that have Alzheimer's or dementia but they don't have a locked unit. It was nice, bright, and clean. I like it. The rooms were nice, bright, and clean. From what I understand, for somebody who has real problems, memory problems and so forth, they like to put somebody else in the room with them that is a little bit more mentally with it, so that if anything goes wrong, that person can let them know, so I like that. My next-door neighbor is in there with dementia and she has a lady in there with her that if anything goes wrong or if there's a problem, that lady can get a hold of somebody, so that helps. The nice thing is it's just bright and cheery. There's a window. You can see out the window in that particular room there. They've gone out and put planter outside and so forth outside the window and it's nice and bright with flowers and stuff hanging out there. It's nice that they can do that. The people that I talked to there were very good and very helpful. I was having a problem personally handling going in and they took care of me and my concerns very well. They have all sorts of activities. They also have the physical therapy room and occupational therapy room where they can go and take them and try to keep them in shape. Whatever a nursing home has, that's what they've got. The people were very nice. The nurses I met in the hall and so forth were very nice. They were very good people.

My wife was in Solaris Bayonet Point for Physical, Occupational, and Speech Therapy. They have marvelous, well-trained, educated, and skilled staff members. It's clean, pleasant, and nicely decorated. I was very satisfied. They have a library, TV room, and different activities like Bingo. They have people supervising them when they are in those areas. They have a very high therapist to patient ratio, they have fairly new and nice equipment, and they're always changing and getting better ones. They have shared and private rooms. The food is very good, imaginative, and very well-presented.

Bayonet Point is near a main road and a few restaurants. It's close and my sister is getting good care here. She has Alzheimer's so it's hard to ask her but from what I see, they do take good care. I would say it has a homey atmosphere. It's pretty clean and the food doesn't look bad but my sister is not eating so we can't tell. The staff is very good.
