My family member is current resident here since December, 2021. I cannot be more pleased and happy with the care he receives at Bear Creek. Every single person who works there, in every department there is, is a caring and trained professional. I never worry about my family member’s safety or neglect. I very highly recommend Bear Creek to anyone seeking long term care.

The staff and Christina who I was told is the DON were not very accommodating. I was not happy with the way my brother was treated there. The only person who was friendly and listened was the cna. I wish the nurses weren’t so rushed and the don was more caring. The rooms were ok but I was more concerned with the people. I would recommend finding another facility.

The DON was extremely rude and I was surprised to hear the way she talked to one of the employees. Very unprofessional. I would not send my cat there. The ADON was talking to some of the aides and I heard them all saying “you have to cut corners and do what you have to do, since they expect too much”. I will not be returning here.

My stepmom has been in Bear Creek Nursing Center for a month now. So far, she likes it very much. It's a small facility, and that's what I liked about it. People are very friendly, and the place is extremely clean. The administration was very helpful and very patient with me. I would highly recommend it. She has a shared room, and it's pretty big. There's a window, but she wanted to be by the door, and she was given that choice. Everyone has a TV, a set of drawers, and a closet, and there's a bathroom that both residents would share. The two residents are separated by a curtain. They have music, games, and crafts, and she has done several of those things. Several times, they took her to the cafeteria area instead of eating in her room. And she was ecstatic about it because she met other residents and she was talking to them. She has complained about a couple of the things she got for food. They are not Medicaid pending like a lot of other places do, so I had to pay for the first month until her Medicaid gets approved.

They wake you up every 3 hours for meds. Which I was taking only one when I got there. The food tasted nasty, plus run out of milk . If you care for someone DO NOT SEND THEM THERE..

As we were driving in, we commented on the manicured lawn. The next thing that was great - you walk in the front doors and you do not smell the “nursing home” odor that we have noticed in her facilities. The colors were happy. That for me is a real plus. We continued our tour and the common areas were clean and residents were utilizing the activity area. As we were walking around, the residents were speaking to the staff member conducting our tour. We did not eat but the food smelled delicious. The rooms were clean and again, they did not have a stale odor. We thought residents and staff were friendly and happy to meet us. Looking into the near future, I am planning on this being my next home.

Very welcoming as you walk in, was greeted immediately. Was given a tour of the facility. The facility was clean, it did not smell. The staff was friendly and very helpful. I saw a lot of interacting with the residents. Very colorful and lively facility. Lot's of activities listed on the board for resident's to participate in . Nice activity game room. Lovely area for resident's to sit and enjoy outside. Staff were interacting and helpful to a resident that was struggling with memory. I would highly recommend this facility.

Bear Creek Nursing Center is a five-star facility and it's well kept up. We can't go in to see my ex-husband, all we can do is window visits because of the COVID outbreak and the COVID restrictions, but we got to see him in person for the first time yesterday. The administrative and nurses are wonderful. They're caring and keep everything recorded up to date. They use a computer system for their notes and everything. They do their daily notes on his therapy, his meals, and how he's progressing.

My mother in law was a patient in this facility and I can't say enough about the wonderful and personal care she received from the hard working nursing staff, nursing management, attentive DON, and therapy staff. This was the first time she was hospitalized and needed rehab. Bear Creek was reccomend to us from several nurses at the hospital and thank God. The care was great. They nursing staff was attentive and answered her call light quickly and never made her wait. They were able to answer all her medical questions with such personal care. Everytime I came to visit I was happy to see everyone looked like they loved their jobs. They were pleasant and enjoyed and truly cared about their patients. By the end of her stay she was actually sad she wouldn't see them anymore. She cried and hugged all the nursing and therapy staff on her way home. I would reccomend this facility to anyone who insists on receiving the most caring and attentive services. Couldn't be happier

I, too, do not understand the negative reviews. My father-in-law went to this facility from the hospital. He was very ill, depressed and very close to death. In approximately 7 weeks he has become healthier, more communicative and less depressed. The staff is wonderful. They talk with the patients, not at the patients. My father-in-law's mental capacity is no longer great and never will be, but the staff still talk with him. My husband's health prevents him from being able to visit. The staff keeps him informed as to Dad's health. Betty is especially wonderful.

I am surprised at the negative comments. While every nursing facility could use more help, the nurses and CNAs do all they can to take care of the patients. My father-in-law has received very good and attentive care. Many of the patients are mean and berate the staff constantly but they do there work tirelessly. The food looks appetizing and actually is pretty good. The staff is constantly cleaning and maintaining the facility. The PT staff is outstanding. Maybe the problem others have noted was not with the staff but with their relative!

Terrible, understaff, the staff smokes while on there shift, my relative was never bathe, contacted skin infection, all over body infection. Facility is very understaff the assistant do what they can. Please if you have a love one, do not admit them to Bear Creek Nursing, Administration is all about the MONEY!!!!! No compassion to the patients.

The nursing is way under staffed, I don't understand how the patients can receive proper care being so under staffed. The cna's are running around like all over the place. The equipment does not work properly My husband is lifted out of bed with a hoyer lift 4 of 5 times it has not worked properly.

I find that the staff are inconsistent with their ability to help family members with the logistics of managing the care. Very often I am rushed off the phone and it always seems like an inconvenience when I call to ask questions. I feel the staff can be more helpful and actually listen to the concerns/questions of the consumer/family member before rushing to give a pat answer.

Mom was at the rehab side at Bear Creek Nursing Center for three months. We chose this facility again because she literally likes it. She's comfortable and is familiar with all the people there. She's also adjusted very well to the facility. The facility is clean and the staff seemed very attentive and extremely helpful. They are knowledgeable and seemed to be very proactive with regards to the care of my mom. The administrator is also very informative. Mom is in a semi-private room, just a standard room. It looked like a hotel room with two beds in it. I wasn’t able to eat there, but I was able to sit in and watch them eat and it looks very good. With their activities, I think they have things for the residents to do almost every single day. They have a room where they could watch TV. Mom has a place where she could have her hair done and her nails done. They can take the seniors out on certain days and they can go on trips. Overall, it just works for my mom.

The majority of the staff at this facility is highly unprofessional, marginally trained to care for the elderly and most likely graduated at the bottom on their class. Activities for the residents are essentially non-existent, the food & food service is sub-par and the cleanliness of the facility is unacceptable. Residents are NOT put first - the staff's needs and break-times seem to be the priority. Would not recommend.

Bear Creek is a beautiful, clean, and bright facility. It made you feel better just walking in. The care is excellent, but at the time, I was not happy with their physical therapy. They would not let me in when my husband was having physical therapy and I wasn't updated too with what they were doing.
