I visited this facility

Woodmark at Daytona Beach was extremely clean. They have a wonderful-sized apartment. They have beautiful floors. It's got a lake right there in between all the buildings. It had a pool. It was a good price and the staff was very helpful. They were wonderful. The building type was very solid and it's a gated community. The size of the rooms was like 700-something square feet. The layout of the apartment had lots of storage. You walk into a nice-sized living room and then they have a kitchen fully with all the appliances and a bedroom with a bathroom.

I visited this facility

I had an in-person tour of Woodmark at Daytona Beach. Everything seemed nice and clean. They told me everything that was going on and the amenities. They had a pool table, poker, and card games. They take you to your doctor's visits. They traveled to Walmart or other stores once in a while. The outside was nice and groomed. The people we talked to gave us good help and answered all our questions. The rooms were nice. As we were going down to take a tour, the gentleman introduced me to different people, like the person in charge of the dining room and housekeeping. Everybody was nice and friendly. The inside is modernized. The outside is not quite up-to-date, but it's nice and clean. We had lunch, and it was very good and tasty. They bring you all kinds of stuff. They keep asking if you want anything else. They're right there if you need something. It was like you're getting into a fine restaurant.

I visited this facility

I toured Woodmark at Daytona Beach. I like it all. It's very peaceful. It's well-maintained. Good food. Good amenities. Parking is available for residents and visitors. The rooms are bigger than any of the other ones that we went to see in square footage. They're like regular apartments. They have a pool, shuffleboard, indoor social activities, and beautiful outside walkways around the little lake. Pets are allowed. The staff is very professional, very helpful and friendly. They answer all your questions.

Provider Response

Hi Annette, your wonderful feedback and 5-star rating mean a lot to us. Thank you for taking the time to leave praise and kind comments for our Woodmark at Daytona Beach team! Take care, we hope to see you again soon!

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

Spacious rooms with a lot of space compared to other places in the area. My mom really like the staff, all very friendly and caring. We enjoyed the food as well.

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

My 92yo mother was a long term resident, 4 years total. She started in Independent Living where she enjoyed using all the facilities and made many friends. As her dementia progressed she moved into different levels of care. She was always able to be moved into an exact floor plan as her previous apartment which made each transition easier. Her care throughout her stay there was excellent. Each level recognized her needs and her care changed accordingly. Mom shared her apartment as she entered moderate and late dementia and the staff ensured she was paired with another lady who meshed well. As she entered her late stage dementia the nurses and caregivers were beyond excellent. As to basics, the entire facility is spotless, the food was very good and plentiful. Mom had a complete apartment that was cleaned continuously and her laundry done weekly. Her physical care was also excellent. The caring staff always ensured mom was dressed and groomed daily, her nails carefully maintained and beautiful. There were daily activities for the residents in the skilled nursing and participation was encouraged. Bingo, was her favorite. I am so thankful we found this wonderful facility and as my mother has recently passed I can only say this was absolutely the right place.

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

Two of my relatives are currently in here. One stays in assisted living while the other one is in skilled nursing. They have 24-hour care, caring staff, and very little has to be requested other than the services that are provided. They are approachable and the rooms are very large, clean, and well set up for the elderly. They have a swimming pool, recreation area, and a dining area that is very large and adequate for all the residents. I've also eaten there and the food is outstanding. They always have two choices on the menu and if you do not like what's on the menu, they will make something special for you.

I visited and the rooms were very nice and bigger than in the other place I visited. Everybody giving the tour was helpful, knowledgeable, and nice. I thought it was fine.

I visited this facility

One of the reasons we chose here for my aunt is that it's right there in her neighborhood, and she is very involved in her church, so she wanted to be in a place that her friends could come visit. Her room is like a hospital room; it's clean. She is in a semi-private room and has a roommate. They take good care of her there. She says the food is good and has done different activities like chair yoga. They also have entertainment that comes in. So far, we haven’t had any problems with them.

It has a great staff. We are very pleased with them. It is a very clean place as well. Compared to other places, their apartments are huge. My grandmother has a roommate, and they have two bedrooms and two full baths. They each have their own bathroom, which is very important to older people. They have a large living room plus a full kitchen which they don't even need to use because they have three meals. It has an eating area in the kitchen, so the apartment itself is big. As for activities, they have an activity room where they have entertainment. They have a wine and cheese event coming up tomorrow. They just have something going on everyday. They have bingo and exercise for the brain classes. They have a lot of activities.

It was a nice place. I liked it for the simple reason they had a bank there, a beauty parlor, and Catholic services. I didn’t see any of the apartments; they didn’t have any available at the time I was in there. I didn’t go in there for myself; I went in there with another person was looking. At that time I wasn’t interested in it, but I now I am.

It is a nice place; it’s excellent. I’ve seen the whole place, and I’m sure it’s going to get a high rating. They have lots of activities. There’s parking if you have your own car, and they provide transportation as well. There’s a heated pool, and they have exercise machines and stuff for anybody who wants to use them. It’s not a buy in; it’s a rental place. The one who assisted me during the tour was fine. They serve one very nice meal a day. I had a meal there, and it was excellent. The dining area was very nice. Its close by here, and that is really why I went to see what this type of living might be like.

I went here saw one of their little apartments. It was really very nice. The facility itself has a very good reputation. I also know somebody that likes it there because he has lived there for awhile now, and he is much younger than I am. They have quite a bit of activities. I am a member of the Center for the Visually Impaired and we have meetings up in this facility. The people that live there would also come and join some of our meetings.
