Country Oaks is a home, and I think they could take up to 8 or 10 people. We almost got my mother to move in there. It was a very clean and quiet place. The room she was going to have was a single room. It had a twin bed and a big window looking out to a huge backyard. They had a cat and a dog. I saw things like jigsaw puzzles. They had 10 recliner chairs in this huge living room space and a big screen TV. They had nice bathrooms. The dining area was a big family long table, and they all sat together. They had staff around the clock, and the caregivers were happy, younger people. The residents there seemed pretty happy, young and old. They were having turkey dinner the day that I went over there. One thing that stood out to me was the family style atmosphere. It was big and spacious, and they had freedom of the outdoors. They had a big patio, and they kept the doors open. The clients weren't confined. When I told them that my mother wouldn't be coming there, they were so generous to give me my money back; I didn't ask for it, and that's very nice.
