I was looking for a Nursing home for my sister that would be close to my house and I found it. The staff is very friendly and caring. I was impressed by all the staff on the day that my sister was admitted from the Administrator, nurses, maintenance and all the others that help us feel at ease. They are very friendly and keep me informed of everything that is going on. The admissions lady was friendly and very helpful. She did a great job. Even though the building is very old my sister's room is very clean. The food is excellent according to my sister. She has her own TV but the only thing that is missing are the Spanish channels. They celebrate holidays and have different activities that the residents enjoy like music, movies and games. I like the fact that I can visit my sister whenever I can and they have Spanish speaking staff that talk to my sister and tell me that they like her very much. I am very pleased. The facilities are kept clean and organized. I'm glad that I found this place for my sister. I recommend this place. Nilsa Troche

The owners bottom line is the almighty dollar, this place is run on a bare-bones budget. Staffing ratio to residence is for most of the time. It’s an old building without any updates. The bathrooms are tiny and very difficult to maneuver a wheelchair in. If you put a family member or friend there and can’t watch out for them just be prepared for poor Care and potential disaster.

The place is extremely dirty with bugs and mold, the staff is lazy, there is a shortage of supplies and medication, patient rooms are inadequate, DCF and the health department make numerous visits,High staff turnover and they seem very unhappy

There is no contingency plan in place for power outages such as occurred from Hurricane Irma. Residents were subjected to sweltering temperatures, no clean linens or towels. Staff did not even have flashlights to properly see in residence rooms and to care for them. Administration we're totally absent be on their contracted hours and did a little to provide air conditioning units even when the generator failed. The only visible fan was blowing on the nurses station. All residents were put in harms way.
