I'm living at Bayou Gardens Dunedin. It's a family environment and the owners come regularly. We have karaoke and we play bingo. We go to the mall, the movies, Walmart, or to the beach for picnics. They give you the chance to get your independence back. The food is very good and the rooms are nice. I have a private room and a private bath.

The tour experience we had with Bayou Gardens Dunedin was fine. The staff was very nice and showed me around, but I just thought it looked kind of rundown. I wouldn't want my folks there. The size of the rooms was adequate, but the dining area was not appealing to me. It looked clean enough, but a little shabby. They need to redecorate and spruce up the place.

We chose Nurses Helping Hands because it's very close to our home. Their care is very very good. We used them for about 6 months. I've been very satisfied with them.

I read a review and it does not ring try. First the facility does not smell bad as they indicated. It is clean. Everyone is very nice and friendly and interested in the well being of their patients. The rate theyr charge is half what comparable Facilities charge and falls within my mothers Social Security and pension income. They have a lot of Dimentia patients so uyes a lot of residents sit in front of a TV during the day. It is stimulation after all. No complaints. Mom was in what I would call a Five Star facility and they left her in bed day after day. If this place had a nicer appearance like newer furnishing etc it would be 5 star.

I'm very sensitive to smell and I didn't like the smell of the facility at all. I actually didn't spend much time in there because of the smell. I don't know if it was the cleaning solution, I just couldn't take walking into the facility. They plunk their residents down in front of a big screen TV and that was it. Nothing's attractive about the place. It's in the area off a major road, but there's nothing around there. My mom was only there for a respite care. The people were nice, they have lots of activities to keep people engage. But I didn't like anything about it.
