I chose Rockwell Senior II for my mother because it was a smaller facility and because of the personalities of the owner and the ladies that work there. The home was very tidy and neat, and they're able to provide my mom with more care than where she was living prior. Her room is adorable, and she has her own private bathroom. She's in a private room, she has a closet, and it came with furniture already in it. I love that her bed looks out the window. It makes me feel good she has that pretty view. It has no carpeting, but wood laminate flooring. The food is wonderful, and they're cooking everything. I've seen them prepare some of their meals. It's always a nice variety with fresh ingredients. This is not a mega community. There are six residents, so they're not having shows and that kind of thing like at other facilities. They have limited people right now because of COVID, but I have videos of her dancing with people in her chair, and I've seen photos of her with some coloring activities. They're doing things like that, but they're not bringing people in at this time or anything extravagant. I left a mega community to go to this kind of a scale because my mom wasn't able to have the benefit of using a lot of those features of large communities. It's a home, so there's a living room, a kitchen, a family area, and bedrooms.

From the moment I walked into Pat's beautiful group house in Coconut Creek I knew it was going to be perfect for my 87 year old mother. From the good cooking smells to the beautiful furnishings and decor I could see the 6 residents were happy and cared for. Patricia and her staff, Raquel, Shelly and Latoya are extremely helpful and caring and a regular host of therapists privide daily stimultation. Recommended to me by Hospice by the Sea, they also provide a daily presence. I only wish my mother could have moved in sooner. Christine Kloner
