My parents moved into Crane's View Lodge. They've got lots of activities, and a full dining room with a menu you can pick from. They have entertainment, physical therapy, and crafts. They had a quarantine period, so after I got them moved in, they had to be in quarantine for numbered days.

It's very nice at CraneÍs View Lodge. They've got a lot of activities. When my sister toured there, she got to talk to the staff; she really liked them. The apartments are not that big at the facility. They do trips. They take them to their doctors. They take them to Wal-Mart to shop. The day that my mom went, they had a singer there. They have a beauty shop. They have 3 meals a day. They have an art center, and they have a movie room. They invited us back for lunch, but we didn't make it back yet.

The facility is lovely and there are plenty of activities, but that's all I can say that's positive. My brother lived there for over a year. At first he had minimal assistance and later we added more. The nursing staff was rude and condescending to him. Granted, he is sometimes difficult, but a professional should have been able to provide his care with kindness and integrity. He has early dementia which they did not seem to be able to handle. Promises were made by the sales team which were a complete surprise to the rest of the staff (i.e. availability of a special diet, etc.) His room was filthy, as the housekeeping people only did a superficial job. Our objections were met with a defensive attitude instead of helpfulness. We were very disappointed with his care and moved him to a facility that's not as pretty, but more pleasant and accommodating.

I like Crane's View Lodge a lot, but my mother was in a shared room. She wasn't getting along with her roommate, and I couldn't afford to put her in a single one. Even if I could afford to put her in a single one, her bed and furniture wouldn't have fit. It was an amazing facility. They've got very friendly people, they're very energetic, and they had a calendar packed full of stuff to do. They could choose to do it or not do things like ice cream socials, luaus, cookouts, and barbecues. They had dancing and music all the time, different groups, and different styles like jazz or opera. They've got really amazing people, but it was not a good fit for my mother, only because she had to share a room and the person wasn't compatible with her. She used to work at Disney, and the place looked like Disney, so she thought she was waking up every morning going to work. Anybody else waking up in a Disney resort would be a dream, but she couldn't handle it because she thought she was working there. It's reasonably priced based on what they have to offer. The amount of money that you pay to be there is definitely great.

Cranes View Lodge Assisted Living & Memory Care has a good presentation. It's the newest and best here in Clermont, but I'm afraid we won't be able to afford it. It had things we weren't interested in. The person who accommodated us was great. They showed us one of the rooms and around the building. They had one-bedrooms and two-bedrooms. Except for the price, I would rate them 100 percent.

I liked the whole atmosphere of Cranes View Lodge. It's outstanding. Everything is really positive and everybody seems to know what they're doing. They do lots of things with the residents, like shopping and taking them to shows. The staff is very personable, caring, and does everything the way it's supposed to be. The room is like a suite with a sitting room, bedroom, bathroom, and a mini kitchen with a microwave.

I was encouraged by Crane's View Staff to bring my mother, who needed complete care, to their memory care center. I thought I was doing the best thing for her, rather than putting her in a nursing home. The only thing my mother could do was to try to feed herself. She needed TOTAL CARE. I was told they could handle a few total care clients. The staff are all very nice and appear helpful, however, they did not have the time to take care of a person that needed full care. She didn't even make it a week in that facility, as she fell from her bed, and died there in her room alone, unable to say a word. As hard as it is, be aware that Crane's View is not staffed well enough to be attentive enough to take care of someone who is completely dependent.

My mother has been in Crane's View Lodge Assisted Living & Memory Care for four months now. They're excellent and the staff is really good. They help with bathing, dressing occasionally, all her meals, and medication. They dispense the medication so she doesn't have to worry about dropping a pill because she's got Parkinson's. She goes down to an exercise group. The food is excellent, I ate there a few times with her and it's really good. No problems at all. They encourage the family to eat with them. They always have two main courses and they've got another whole menu with sandwiches, hamburgers, and hot dogs. They have a wide variety of things to choose from. She's an avid Scrabble player, but they did not have it, so the staff found other residents to play Scrabble with her and they now have it on their activities board. I thought it was awesome that they went out of their way to find other residents that were interested in the same things. They have music come in, play Bingo and various card games, do arts and crafts, take day trips to different restaurants and different stores, and they have wine and cheese hour before dinner. They have different things all the time. In cooler weather, they have an outdoor fire pit where they have s'mores. We had her in a different facility, which was very similar, and here we're saving $800 a month. It's definitely very good.

Crane’s View was very expensive, and my dad doesn’t qualify for it yet on long-term care insurance. Besides the fact it was high quality, brand new, and had all the best finishing, the staff was superb and the marketing person was just outstanding. However, it wasn’t the right fit for my dad and one of the staff recommended to us another facility. The rooms were huge and the dining room was just beautiful and looked like a cruise ship. There were tons of activities; we saw people playing games and watching movies. At lunch time, everybody was eating and talking with each other. If my dad needs assisted living in the future, I will move him over there.

My mom is in Crane's View Lodge Assisted Living & Memory Care. The staff is great; they’re very caring and knowledgeable. They help with activities and anything that she needs and they’re quick whenever she needs something. They have great facilities. They offer 3 meals and I think there are 1 or 2 snacks throughout the day; I enjoy the food. Sometimes, they do gardening outside. I know they always go for walks or even just to hang out outside to get some fresh air. They have a doctor that does go a couple of times a week so if she needs anything, he will see her there.

Crane's View Lodge is a new facility. It is a big open airy place. We like the openness of it. The rooms are nice and very room. The facility is only built like a year and a half ago, so obviously they have taken advantage of building assisted living facility from scratch with today’s standards. They have similar activities with the other facility, but my dad is not going to be playing bingo, but he likes to have dialogue with people. The food seems OK, and they’re making effort with it. Going in there, all the sales people and the nursing staff are all fairly good.

Crane’s View Lodge is a very high-end facility. It’s beautiful. Everybody there is nice; they know everybody’s name. Most of the staff seemed friendly and knew all the residents. The rooms, the dining area, the whole facility, are gorgeous and top-notch. They had a beauty shop. They had a walking area. If not for the price, I would give them a perfect score. I want to go live there.

Crane’s View Lodge was fabulous and brand new. It was very much like a lodge with big, open space. They have menu dining that was more like a cruise ship dining. The rooms were nice, average, and the ambiance was more like a resort hotel. The staff was very thorough and very pleasant. However, it was not in the economic range of our friend financially.

I visited Crane's View Lodge. It was an excellent place but more of an assisted living. The people were very nice and accommodating. I was very pleased with it.

We chose Crane's View Lodge Assisted Living & Memory Care mostly because it was newer, and they accept Medicaid. It is less than a year old. My parents have a one-bedroom apartment with a full bathroom and a big bedroom. They also have a large living area that has a little kitchenette.
