Mom lived at Benton House of Clermont for over 4 years. The Covid virus necessitated taking her out so I can care for her. As assisted living facilities go, this was better than most. Overall, Mom was happy. There has always been turnover with the resident assistants, however this is a problem at ALL facilities. The current management has been very helpful, especially during this pandemic. Whenever we had a problem that needed attention, the staff did their best to address our concerns in a timely manner. We like that the facility is bright and clean and the rooms are very nice. Mom enjoys musical programs mostly and they had a variety of performers every week.

The staff at Benton House of Clermont gave me a tour, and they were very welcoming. I like the rooms. The bathrooms were very spacious and better than the other places I went, and the showers were larger. They had a little library where the residents could borrow books and puzzles. They also have a mini-kitchen where they have little activities and cooking things that they schedule for the residents to do. They also have little concerts going on in the courtyard. I met the nursing coordinator; she's been there since it opened. Their staff was also long term and had been there since it opened, basically. They're redoing the dining-room floors, so they weren't serving meals at the time. The place was very attractive and has very well-kept grounds. It felt very homey.

I wasn't allowed to go in at Benton House of Clermont. I just talked to them over the phone. I had gone in there previously about seven months ago, and I liked it. It was really nice, but the price was too high. They had an area for them to watch movies, and nice sitting places when you want to cozy up and read a book, and I like that. The staff was very friendly and very helpful. I felt that they bent over backwards to answer questions. They're wonderful people.

My husband is at Benton House of Clermont, and he is very happy there. I'm very pleased with it. Everything worked out well. It is absolutely excellent. Right now, they're in lockdown due to the virus, but they have been doing an outstanding job. I give them 'excellent' on everything like their services, help, living conditions, and apartment living. I couldn't be more happy with the place. It is good value for the money. I would totally recommend it and I have already recommended it to other people.

I liked the layout of Benton House of Clermont. I was impressed with the screened porch area, their courtyard, the food, the menu, and everything. They offer three meals a day. Their rooms were very nice. They have little kitchenettes, refrigerators, but not stoves, and you can have a microwave. They're not real big. They have housekeeping every week, and linens are done every week. They have a laundry room, a salon, a game room, and a pool. The staff was very nice. The facility was very nice and very well kept.

We checked out Benton House Clermont, but my husband didn't like the setup, the room layout, and the feel of the place. I thought the place was very nice and I like the location. When they broke down the price, which is done in a point system, it was actually going to be more than where he is at now. The people were very nice and the place was all on one floor. The biggest downside was the cost, because it was going to be more. When you walk in, there's a reception area and straight ahead there's a dining room. It went around in a big square. They didn't have any studio rooms.

Benton House Clermont is a beautiful facility. They have a much more reasonable price than the other facilities I have visited. It is a smaller facility, so it is easier to navigate for an older person. They have a beauty shop and a walking path. This would be my first choice because of the price.

Benton House was brand new with a lovely garden area outside of the rooms. The place was nice and very pretty. It looked like they had a very active calendar for activities. The rooms were less cheerful and darker. It was not well-located geographically for my friend. The staff we were supposed to meet with was out of town, so we talked to the nurse instead.

He was on respite care when I took at Benton House, and it’s a very beautiful place with lots of carpeting. The food was OK. He is a difficult person, and they couldn’t take care of him very well there either. He is combative. The CNAs were telling me that he would go into the rooms and lay on their bed. His problem was toileting habits. He has Alzheimer’s and needs direction, and they didn’t give him enough direction; they just complained about how he acted. They acted like it’s going to be the same problem, so I took him out. He was there for two weeks as they couldn’t take care of him.

Benton House is the cleanest and the nicest with good services. The food on a scale of 1 to 10, it would be an 8. I found the staff very helpful, and they continue to be friendly when I visited. They all seemed to know her by her first name. It’s a relatively small facility; I think they are only 70 rooms, and that’s assisted rooms. There is an Alzheimer’s unit there. I would recommend it. It was the best I could find in the area. I am happy with them, and she seems to be happy too.

The first time I went to Benton House was because they were having a caregivers meeting there. I went to 2 or 3 meetings there. While I was there, I noticed that the place itself -- the building and everything -- was very neat, clean and pretty. So, I made an appointment to talk to people that run it, and they took me touring through the rooms and the facility. I was very impressed with it. The rooms were very nice and adequate. I liked it. The dining area was beautiful. It had beautiful furnishing and beautiful china. Everything was first class in my opinion. The staff assisted me very much, and they were very nice. Even when we went just for the meeting, they would come around and offer coffee or fruit, snacks, and things like that. They seemed to be just on the ball on showing people the way to live. I would recommend it. They had something just about every week. Everyday they had barbeques, and they invited people to come. They had parties and all kinds of things going on. They took those who could and wanted to go out to eat. They seemed to have a lot of things they could offer the people there.

Benton House was very clean and new -- only one-year-old. The studio apartment is 400sq.ft. It’s got a lot of storage space in it, and the design is very nice. Everything seemed fine, and the residents looked happy. I am pleased with everybody; they seemed caring and knowledgeable. It’s in a city environment as it is right within the city limits of Clermont, but the grounds were very nice. It’s got two very lovely courtyards -- one for the open sections and one for the memory care. They sent me a calendar of activities, and they have transportation to all your appointments for free. The doctors come visit there on a regular basis. They have bridge, poker, exercises, and they have a room that has a beautiful flat screen TV where you can pick any movie that you want to watch. I would recommend the place.
