My family member absolutely loves it here. She said that throughout this pandemic she has felt very safe. The staff does everything they can to make her comfortable, even shopping for her once a week. They have really done a wonderful job of ensuring that anyone that comes into the building is safe to be around all the residents. I am grateful for them everyday.

The nursing home administration and staff are wonderful. When I transferred to the Assisted living (The Resu8isted Living, things went drastically down hill. The assisted living is owned by the same company, but is managed by someone else. The managing companies administration and staff yell and argue with residents. Medication management is poorly lacking. The food is either canned or frozen. The assisted living is priced way to high for what is offered. I had to leave the assisted living anddid.

Please think twice before placing a loved one at his facility. 1) Not giving prescribed medication and medication errors by Med Techs, 2) Stealing from Rooms, 3) Yelling at residents by staff and administration, 4) Not all staff follow COVID 19 guidelines, 5) Failure to respond to medical emergencies, 6) Not following doctor's orders, 7) Do not provide medically necessary diets. The Residence at Bay Vue is considerably higher in cost than most facilities.

My dad stayed in Bay Vue Nursing and Rehab for awhile. It was clean and well-maintained, and the dining area appeared to be OK. However, activities were lacking. They said they had activities, but I didn't see any. Some of the staff members were good, but some of them were not good. Some of the aides were very attentive, very good, and very kind, but then there were aides who could care less about your loved one being in there. I had to ask them to wash and shave my dad, brush his teeth, and ask them to take care of him. Once I addressed the situation, they tried, but there were numerous negative situations, and we were always constantly working on something. The final straw was when I had to get my dad out of there by ambulance.

I chose Bay Vue. The staff is caring, they're up to date on all of the residents, and when you have questions, they go to great lengths to make sure everything is answered correctly. They always have activities every holiday, they have church, arts and crafts, and plenty of things for the residents to do.

Right now, my mother is here. The people are very attentive -- the nurses and the nurse's aides. My mother likes it because they are very friendly and helpful. It is clean. She has a room with a nice size. There are two of them, but they have plenty of room for wheelchair access. She had a dresser, a bed, and a little cupboard, and it is clean. The food is OK. They have a lot of activities. They have an activities calendar. On a Sunday, they have church in the morning. They have donuts, and at 2 o'clock they have ice cream social every Friday. The security is good because they have a door to go in. After 5 o'clock everything is locked, and to get in you have to have a passcode.

They treated her poorly. She stayed there for a year. She liked the food; it was the management that was the problem. The director was very mean. We got so mad, we drove down there to meet with the assistant director. They didn’t file the proper paperwork for Medicaid, and they tried to make us make up for the difference. I filed a complaint with the State of Florida. They have activities, a guy came in once a week and played the organ, they have some singalongs, and popcorn.
