Finding the perfect senior living community for your loved one is probably one of the most challenging experiences for family members. With dozens to choose from, in the specific area we were looking at, definitely made this process even more difficult. Allegro Senior Living was highly recommended to us and when we visited the facility it certainly did not disappoint. We had the privilege of meeting a member of Allegro who spent a tremendous amount of time with us. We toured the facility, spoke to staff and shared our story. We asked dozens of questions and shared our concerns. This staff member was warm, knowledgeable and so transparent about expectations for a loved ones transition to a senior living facility. After visiting many other communities and reviewing our choices, we immediately knew that Allegro Senior Living would be the perfect living arrangement for our mom. The facility is immaculate, nicely appointed, has lovely grounds, is intimate in size and has an abundance of amenities and activities for those that choose to participate. The residents and staff are kind and welcoming. Our mother has been in Allegro for a month and the community has certainly continued to please us. She loves her apartment and raves about the dining selections and quality of the food. The administration, head of nursing services and sales representative are all very accessible when we have had questions or concerns. The entire staff has been so helpful to assist in acclimating our mother to her new living arrangement and has made us all feel at ease. Our mother is happy! If you and your family members are looking for a beautiful facility for your loved one, please take time to visit Allegro in Boynton Beach. Though not the newest facility we visited, Allegro Senior Living is definitely the best in the area if you are looking for a wonderful caring community for your loved one.

My mom moved into Allegro in September 2022. I cannot say enough positive things about this experience. They are so welcoming and warm. She was greeted immediately by an ambassador who became a very good friend to her. The organization and the care put into daily living makes everyone feel comfortable. It is the people who make the place! She began her new life there in independent living. She was truly enjoying the Florida lifestyle. Living at Allegro can be like a cruise that doesn’t move. The activities, the dining, and the excursions to restaurants, were keeping her very busy. Early February 2023, my mom suffered a mini stroke. The Allegro team did not disappoint. After her return from the hospital, we moved her to assisted living. She is now doing great! She is back to participating in activities and socializing with her friends. I have to give an enormous thanks to Mary Adams, who gives my mom personal attention and security, to this day. The entire staff from the nurse, Angela to every person who is in contact with her has made her transition positive.

Allegro was a very welcoming place. The residents seemed to be happy, whereas a lot of places you go to have residents that just look miserable. The director was fabulous, very friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. She seemed to be very concerned and very helpful. I might have even picked that, but my husband required more skilled nursing and Allegro was out of my budget. I could never afford it. It had a beautiful outdoor area. It had pools and the rooms were very nicely furnished. It was very nice.

We chose Allegro for mom because they offered a lot of amenities that she didn't have in the previous place. For example, she has a much larger outside patio that's screened in with a door, so she could exit from her apartment on the outside. There are four ceiling fans in her apartment, which gives her a little extra circulation. The windows are open and have screens on them. In the other place she was living, you couldn't open the windows. The bedroom is a very nice size, which is better because when you're older and you need a wheelchair or a walker, you need space to be able to move around the place. It has just about the same kind of services that the other places have in terms of a bistro, a card room, and a fitness center -- that kind of thing. They have independent and assisted living there, and currently she's in independent living. They seem to be very careful about COVID. Everything that she's needed to move in, they handled for her very rapidly -- things like hanging pictures and connecting the TV. They've been very helpful. There's a good variety of activities. It's not as new as some places, although it's not old.

We recently moved my mother from a home in NJ to independent living. After visiting several places we decided upon Allegro in Boyton Beach, Florida. There we had the pleasure of meeting Lynne McKague a Senior Living Advisor. Lynne worked with us every step along the way. She was available all the time with all of many questions and concerns. She could not have been more patient, kind and helpful. She turned a very stressful time into something that went flawless. Thank you so much Lynne! In addition to Lynne, the entire staff could not be nicer.

This facility took my father’s $7500 deposit and will not return it. I have been begging and chasing for weeks. They took his money very quickly and keep giving me the runaround. My dad is in early onset dementia and needs this money to live.

My mother is in the independent living place of Allegro. It is fine for her. It works fairly well. There are a lot of activities there that she can do. She has people that prepare her meals, they do cleaning for her once a week, and they also do her laundry. She is happy about that. They have a car service, too. There are nice people there that she has become friendly with. It works nicely that she has people that could help her. They also take pets, which is very important. My mother has a parakeet, and nobody else wants to accept it. The food isn't the greatest, but she is happy and comfortable there. However, the staff members are not always receptive to recommendations. It is not cheap, but my mother does get the services that she needs.

Allegro was more expensive. It's nice and it all has the same kind of furniture. Since it has the assisted living right with it, when you go in it has more of a depressing atmosphere. If you don't need assistance, I don't think you'd want to go there. They have activities. The place looks new and attractive.

As a resident I feel the staff regards me as a captive audience and complaints are rarely addressed in a timely manner or ignored. Supervision in the dining room is lacking and the inexperienced and transitory staff try, but are poorly trained. Electronic support for apparatus is sporadic, and mechanical failures of building equipment occur too often for a new building.

Allegro is an excellent place because everything is separated. It is brand new, only been built June or July. It is a very nice facility, organized, separated stuff, a lot of activity rooms and movies to watch. The staff is excellent. When you drive up, it is a very clean place and very impressing. The staff explained everything, showed us all the options, toured us all over the facility, explained them all, showed the dining facilities, showed where the assisted living eats and everything we want to know.

What I like most at Allegro is the caring staff. The facility was clean. They have a lot of services and activities for their residents. Specifically, I was most impressed with the manager and the director of nursing. Mom has never complained about the food.

Allegro was fabulous, and top-notch. I wish I could afford it. It's absolutely the best of the best. The whole place tells you it's luxury all-the-way-around. It's high-end, and activities were off-the-charts. The rooms were bright. The facility was brand new. It looked like a top-notch, very fine hotel. You couldn't tell it's a memory care. The dining area was very top-notch; the best out of all of them.

I was really impressed with Allegro. Its location is great. I like the layout, and everything is brand new, but the problem is they couldn’t guarantee that I wouldn’t have to move a second time. It’s more money, but there are no extras; I liked that there are no extra bills there. They have a bar for happy hour with beer and wine. There’s no money exchanged except in the spa -- which is run by an outside vendor -- and you have to pay their prices. She gave me a list of the spa prices, and they’re very reasonable.
