I went to Advent Square for my mother. It's very quaint. They have 16 rooms, and they only take that many patients. The staff is amazing and very, very caring. My mom moved into Advent Square. I like that it is very personable and small. The staff is very friendly. They serve 2 meals a day. They have music, bingo, movies, they do some kind of Jeopardy and other games. Mom's apartment has a refrigerator and a stove, but you need to bring your own furniture.

A lot of the places I looked at were large, people would just get lost, and there were too many people to take care of. That was one thing. Another thing is, in the part they took my wife in, the memory care, there were only sixteen people in that unit. That also convinced me because it was small. Advent Square has very nice people. It's a very tiny facility and only houses twenty-four residents. It's more for lower-income people. It's a tiny facility, and it's attached to a church, so it's like old Sunday-school classrooms, basically. Everyone has a little bathroom and a little kitchen; they're 600 square feet for each unit. Advent Square is excellent. My mother's room is kept clean. They have activities for the residents, and they have good food. The staff is very caring, polite, and helpful.
