My mom moved into Advent Square. I like that it is very personable and small. The staff is very friendly. They serve 2 meals a day. They have music, bingo, movies, they do some kind of Jeopardy and other games. Mom's apartment has a refrigerator and a stove, but you need to bring your own furniture.

I went to Advent Square for my mother. It's very quaint. They have 16 rooms, and they only take that many patients. The staff is amazing and very, very caring. I have a couple of friends whose parents are there and they have excellent care because it's very small and a Christian-based facility. The staff was fabulous. She has called and checked in a few times, too. That's a wonderful place. It was almost in between a nursing home and an assisted living. Even though I think it's considered assisted living, it has a lot of one-on-one care. They were doing arts and crafts one day when I was there. I didn't get to see the food. But everything looked nice and clean and the grounds were pretty. The garden area was pretty.

My mother will be moving into Advent Square memory care. She has Alzheimer's, so it seems like the right size. It's small, and they have a community space and then they have the bedrooms. It seems like a good space for someone with Alzheimer's. It's not too big and not overwhelming. The staff seemed caring. There's a pretty garden. There's an outdoor area that's very nice where they can bring people out to sit. I like the size and the location. It's not far from me or my family. It's clean and they seemed caring. The room was adequate.

My wife is at Advent Square in Boca Raton. We chose it because of the size; it's very small. A lot of the places I looked at were large, people would just get lost, and there were too many people to take care of. That was one thing. Another thing is, in the part they took my wife in, the memory care, there were only sixteen people in that unit. That also convinced me because it was small. So, there was a nurse and an aide who could take care of the sixteen people easily. The place is also connected with the Lutheran church up in front, and the main thing is that it's non-profit. So because it's non-profit, they don't charge you for every little thing. In other words, they just want the monthly payment, and that's it. It all just made a lot of sense. The nurse there is a wonderful woman, and the price is good. My wife also seems to love the food; she eats everything. They have activities. Just this past week, they painted the women's nails, and they had people come in to sing to the crowd and because of the virus, they did it outside in the courtyard. They do a lot of things for the residents; they keep them pretty busy.

Advent Square has very nice people. It's a very tiny facility and only houses twenty-four residents. It's more for lower-income people. It's a tiny facility, and it's attached to a church, so it's like old Sunday-school classrooms, basically. Everyone has a little bathroom and a little kitchen; they're 600 square feet for each unit. They allow smoking. They're all open. The layout makes a circle, and the rooms face a courtyard, so everyone shares that courtyard. The staff was very personable, very polite, and had all their paperwork together when I walked in. They gave a nice tour, they were very attentive, and they knew everybody. They were so professional.

The dining area was fine at Advent Square. I didn't see anything suspicious going on with the staff. The semi-private and private rooms were fine. They had a library. We walked around the outside, which was secure. It was a locked down facility. Everybody I knew that stayed there did fine, and they recommended it to me. For the dollar, it's probably the best out there.

Advent Square has a nice layout, is clean, welcoming, and not as fancy as the others, but it was very nice. It was a great place for independent seniors. The little apartments they have were spacious, very amenable for seniors who would transition from independent living to assisted living, and its a small community, with very active people up and about. I had more than one person who showed me around, and both of them were outstanding. Everybody was eating, happy with their food choices, and they had no complaints.

Advent Square is a wonderful facility with a welcoming and family-like environment. My mother loves it there. Mom’s room has sufficient space, is clean, and comfortable. Mom is happy with the food.
