I visited this facility

Windsor Health Care & Rehab was a very good place. The building was clean, and the food was good. The arts and crafts and activities for the patients were very good. They had decorations for the holidays. The staff who gave me the tour was very pleasant. I was introduced to all of the staff. The rooms were clean. They had a very good physical therapy department. I had seen the cafeteria and it was very clean. All the patients seemed to be very happy and comfortable.

I am/was a resident of this facility

Everyone that works there was awesome from nurses to CNAs to cleaning people to PT crew. Food was not good and building inside didn't look like they put any money into it

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

A beloved family member passed way at this facility in mid-2020 due to health conditions unrelated to the Sars Covid-19 virus that initially required local law enforcement involvement due to inexcusable inaccuracies found on the patient's W-10 demographic history of their stay there, and -- more importantly -- that CPR was not performed by attending staff when the resident was found unresponsive in their room during a bed check. The resident had no express DNR clause (Do Not Revive) or a Living Will. Other than placing boards beneath the patient, the attending staff WAITED for local EMS staff to arrive to aggressively attempt resuscitation to no avail. If zero stars could be applied to this rating, or a choice to Red Flag this institution when considering this rehab center as an option for health care, both would have been checked off. It should also be noted that unless there are no other short- or long-term care placement option facilities throughout the state available, it should be considered the ABSOLUTE LAST RESORT when seeking out short- or long-term care for the elderly or the infirm. AVOID AT ALL COSTS IF YOU VALUE THE LIFE OF YOUR LOVED ONE NEEDING ROUND-THE-CLOCK NURSING CARE!

DO NOT I repeat DO NOT allow anyone you love to brought to this facility for rehab or any other type of care!! I had a relative that was brought there and it was a disaster from the beginning to the end of they're time there. My family member complained that they were cold. Thank God they brought a blanket from the hospital as the request for more blankets were provided but because it was still freezing in there they asked for another. That's when the problems started. They claimed that a window was left open as part of the "airing out" process due to covid however, There's no heat in the building or at least at the time time (almost a month ago) there was not. My family member told us that it was overheard from one of the CNA's outside her door that there hadn't been heat in the building for more than a year!!! Once you piss them off expect no help with anything from answering questions, walking to and from bathroom or sink bathing for someone that just had surgery, Food was greasy as they would not for follow patient dietary restrictions, calls weren't returned from case worker were once complaints are charged, supplies brought from the hospital to be utilized by the patient were stolen and the weirdest thing was that they kept asking where did the patient put with her gold (jewelry)?? I wish I was making this up but I am not. I have dealt with other facilities with other family members and I know what goes on behind the scenes. I've always stated that you have to make sure that the patient has an advocate and someone visiting and making sure that the facility knows that the patient has family that cares and will be there to make sure things are working out. With Covid that ability has been taken away because you can't physically go in there. My family member is of sound mind and was able to tell us what was going on but imagine what's happening to those who can't and don't have anyone to advocate for them.

I am a friend or relative of a resident

I lived in this community for over 15 years, and I have known the Kindred Windsor to be the best which is why my mother is here. They have excellent care here, the food is good, and this place is the best. There’s plenty of staff, and the communication is very good; they have my number and I have theirs.

I am/was a resident of this facility

I was recently a patient at Kindred and must say that the care and attention I received from all the staff was second to none. It felt like they were all one big family caring for their own kin. The activities provided by the entertainment were doable and enjoyed by all of the patients that participated. The social gatherings were equally enjoyed. I would recommend Kindred to any rehabilitation patient.

I am a friend or relative of resident

My Dad was a resident for a month for rehab after a brief illness. The staff was very caring, professional and respectful of my Dad. The PT and OT were excellent and really got him back on his feet. He enjoyed the company of another elderly gentleman at lunch and dinner and liked the food. All in all, I would recommend this facility.

I am a friend or relative of resident

My mom was in this nursing home for 13 years till she passed. Loving caring staff whom became my extended family. Same nursing staff for the 13 years she was there. There is very little turnover at this facility. They all became my friends and my family. The care given to my mom was above and beyond what I would have expected. Professional and caring from all staff.
