My husband was at Suffield House for rehab. The experience was really good, the food was good, and the staff was friendly. It was very bright, and they have a glass ceiling, so it was very open. They have their own little coffee station where you can pour coffee anytime you want, they have recreation, they have a nice patio, and courtyard. It's a good place. The day staff is much better than the night or weekend staff. Medicare is paying for it.

My mom is on a waiting list, and we're looking at The Suffield House. It was good. The facilities seemed clean. We got to see the one single room set-up. We didn't have a chance to see double rooms because they were occupied by residents. It was well-maintained and clean. They had an activities calendar posted for the residents, so they knew what was going on every day as far as activities. They had an onsite salon. They had activity rooms. They have outdoor areas. where the residents can go out outside in a courtyard. The staff answered most of my questions. I dealt with him a number of times via phone calls, and he was frustrating. I talked to him a number of times about my mother. Every time we talked to him, he'd always ask if an application was submitted. At the time I talked to him, he could not tell us where my mom might be on the wait list. It was a little frustrating.

My grandmother stayed at The Suffield House for rehabilitation following hip replacement surgery on two separate occasions. I visited her almost daily and was impressed by the facility. Not only was the facility clean and well maintained but the entire campus was beautiful with gardens and lush lawns. In each of the wings there is a center area where the roof is glass allowing natural light in creating a soothing environment My grandmother was also pleased with her stay there and raved about the Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy staff. The care staff, nurses and aides, were also very accommodating and provided wonderful care. The facility provides not only rehabilitation, but Skilled Nursing and Assisted Living accommodations. They provide intimate dining rooms and sitting spaces for their residents. My Grandmother also took advantage of the availability to have her nails and hair done by a professional. I would recommend this facility to anyone whose loved one is in need of professional care.
