Heritage Commons was very good and I was very pleased. It's beautiful. The apartments are gorgeous and they're different sizes according to residents' needs. The make you dinner, but you have a full kitchen in your apartment so you dont get lunch and breakfast. Everybody was extremely friendly. I liked it. I spoke to a couple of residents and they all spoke highly of it. The dining area was very comfortable. They had a long list of activities.

My dad has been a resident for four years at Heritage Commons and we are grateful on a daily basis for all that they provide. For the price, it's excellent value and all the staff are accommodating and kind - not just to my dad, but to our whole family when we visit or are concerned when we can't visit or reach my dad. They are patient and prompt when I've called the front desk, more than once, from NYC, to check on him when it turns off his phone has been off the hook or lost its charge. HC offers almost all that assisted living places do, but they provide it on a tighter budget, at a lower price that we are grateful we can afford. The AC may not whisper quiet and the visitor parking can be in high demand, but these are petty complaints in comparison to the family-like community they have built. My dad is happy to be there and my sister and I are are relieved he is in good hands. The place is well maintained and clean, which is different from everything being spanking new - so it's important not to confuse the two things. I only hope when I'm my dad's age, there will be people to take care of me as well as he is being taken care of at Heritage Commons.

This place is horrible. Its filthy. The men who are suppose to care for the place,do as little as possible. The place is very old and in need of much updating. The apartments are noisy with the a/c's, one can imagine what it would be like in the Winter with the heat being on. The two women in the office are terrible and have been known to talk about prospective residents, which is stupid. I guess they never thought what was being said, would one day get back to that person.I'm glad my friend decided not to pick this place for her family member. They promise you the world, but honestly, a blind person could invision what a dump this place is. The parking is zilch, as spaces are shared with the Wadsworth Glen. If you want the best for your family member , run as fast as you can from this place. Its not worth the money.
