My mother is a 90 year old resident at the Retreat. I can't say enough about what a wonderful warm and caring place this is. The staff are very attentive and the residents are all so friendly and warm. This is my mother's third assisted living due to relocation. She has dementia issues and has felt isolated at the other facilities but not here. The rooms are lovely and she loves the food. The nursing staff are always available. Thank God we found The Retreat!!!

The space is pleasant, however the food is not good,on a couple if occasions the food was spoiled and the client has to have the food included in the total package supposedly because it is designed by a dietician or nutritionist, however it isn't tailored to specific dietary needs for example diabetic, renal etc...the nursing staff has serious problems with communication and seem really bothered when you try to bring concerns to them, there have been numerous medication errors which involving opioid medication, theft of medication....am definitely making the state aware of these issues and am looking to remove my husband before to somewhere safer with a lot more checks and balances.

The Retreat Assisted Living had apartments and studios. The place was really clean and pretty. They had three meals a day. They had a church on the fifth floor, though I don't remember how often were their services. They had library and laundry. They had helpers whenever needed. They could help with the medication without paying extra. The people seemed to be really nice. However, the neighborhood wasn't the best. So, my mom wouldn't be able to have long walks there. She could only go to the yard, which was a small sitting area. She couldn't even have her car, so she wouldn't be able to drive.
