My aunt moved into Creamery Brook Village over the weekend. It is in a nice location. The facility is very bright, very clean, and very inviting. Every time we have walked through the common areas, you can't even find any lint on the carpet. The staff that I have worked with so far has been wonderful. The facility itself just has so many amenities. It's really kind of astounding all that it has. They have many activity rooms. They have a library, game rooms, and puzzle rooms. They have field trips a couple of times a month. She has a basic one-bedroom apartment. It has just been redone, so it is all brand new. It has a separate living room, a separate bedroom, a separate kitchen, a large bathroom with a large handicap-accessible shower, and she has a good amount of closet space.

The person who gave me a tour of Creamery Brook Village was Courtney. She was very informative and very nice. She showed me the apartment which would be a normal apartment my mother would be staying in. They had elevators. They had laundry on every floor. So, it's not like you had to go to a special laundry area, and the apartment was just perfect. It had a walk-in shower or a chair in the shower. It had a full-size kitchen. So, an elderly person could still bake or cook if they enjoyed it. They had a sensor that could tell if the oven had been left on. So, they had a lot of safety features, which I liked. The residents I met seemed very nice and they ranged from canes to walkers to wheelchairs. There was a wide arrangement. The activities they had made me say, "I wanted to stay there." They had cooking classes, a library, an exercise room, and bingo. They have all kinds of activities like chair aerobics and walking groups. Some of them had walkers and they were going through this beautiful stream that went through the property. I like that they went from senior living to assisted living to an attached nursing home. They had each phase of your life. Even if you ended up in a nursing home, you would probably have friends that you made along the way who would come and visit you, which I thought was nice. They had the bus, in which they had just gone up to see a play at the Bradley Playhouse. It is a community theater, but they have very good plays there. If the seniors want to go, they can buy their own ticket for $20 and they have a bus up and back. It was near suppertime when I toured. The meal smelled delicious. Their main meal that day happened to be spaghetti (because it was a spaghetti night), but they had other choices, too, if you didn't want it. Another thing I liked about it was they had a snack bar that offered coffee, tea, and hot chocolate. It encourages meet-and-greet type of things. I was very impressed with it. The facility is spotless. It's got a beautiful library and their prices are very reasonable.

My mom will be moving into Creamery Brook Village. She lives nearby. She liked the layout, the comfort, and the way they paid attention to their residents 24-7, so that was attractive. The marketing director was very helpful. We spoke with some of the residents who are currently living there, and they were very pleased with the quality of the food. They have visits from a podiatrist and a hairdresser, so that was pleasing to my mother. They have a shuttle van that goes back and forth to the places, and that was helpful for them.

I toured Creamery Brook Village. It was a nice facility. It would surely meet our needs. We have decided if that's the way that we will ultimately have to go, then that's the place we'll probably going to go. They showed us an apartment that was being renovated, so they only had a one-bedroom to show us. The one-bedroom was alright, but it wouldn't be adequate for us. This facility had kitchen facilities. Some rooms had a stove, and some didn't have a stove. They only supply one meal with independent living, but they supply three meals with assisted living. It's a little bit different situation, but they have a stove and a refrigerator in the room. The kitchens were very small. I think it would have been nice to have a little bigger kitchen like what we used to, but it would do the job. It's a very small facility. It's well-maintained, clean, friendly, and homey. Everything about it suited our lifestyle. The staff was a little short on information. I could use more explanation. The staff didn't go into detail as far as pricing. I had to pull everything out of the staff. We saw the menu, but we didn't try the food. However, as far as what my wife and I saw, we were very satisfied.

We had an in-person tour of Creamery Brook Village. We looked at a double bedroom, but the space outside was the biggest thing. We like the fact that we could go out and I could walk with the dog. My husband could take his tricycle in the gardens. We were very impressed. The only thing against it for us was the distance from where we and our family lived. The big positive about it is that it's not in the middle of the city. The staff was wonderful. They offer all kinds of good things that my husband could enjoy, as he's handicapped.
