MorningStar Senior Living at RidgeGate was too expensive for us, but what I liked about it was, it was close to the hospital. It had a pool and it had a lift where people that needed exercise could be lowered into the pool and the hot tub type thing. It had an exceptionally nice larger apartment. It was very upscale. It didn't have the views that we would like. All of the balconies faced into the courtyard, the center courtyard. That's not too impressive. They had all levels, so they had independent living to memory care. They had a library, of course, and different meeting places where you could entertain your family and so on. They have enough space that you didn't have in other places. The dining area was like a restaurant-type area. And they had a beauty parlor.

MorningStar Senior Living at RidgeGate had everything that I needed, and everybody seemed happy and friendly. There were people everywhere, unlike any other places where residents were just in their rooms doing nothing. In MorningStar Senior Living at RidgeGate, the atmosphere was alive and the staff was fantastic.

My father-in-law is living in MorningStar at RidgeGate and it is very nice. It's nice to live there and the rooms are beautiful, but it's a little tough when you're trying to get stuff, including some of the therapies done. They have a pool, hot tub, gym, physical and occupational therapy on site, a movie room, meeting room, courtyard, and a restaurant with a bar.

MorningStar at RidgeGate is the most welcoming of all the places I visited. They're gracious and kind. It's a lovely place. They offer lots of things that I like. They offered me lunch there, which was good. The food was good; I would like to go back. They have a lovely restaurant, a bar area, and a snack place. They have eight or 10 models of different units, so they have lots of choices. I like the grounds, too. They have a place where you can go for assisted living and an Alzheimer's unit. I'm going into the independent living. There are lots of friendly people. The restaurant was full of people. I'm Catholic, and they are putting together program where they will take people right to St. Thomas More on Sunday. The lunch was very good. I liked everything. I'm a very fussy eater, so to me, that was a good sign because they had choices that I was happy with. The staff that I interacted with was gracious, and the other people I met at the desk were very nice. The place was very nice.

MorningStar at RidgeGate is quite nice. There were buttons in the bathroom and someone at the desk 24-hours. They also offer two meals a day and housekeeping. I was very impressed. They have a lot of amenities and the girl who showed me around was just delightful, very engaging, and knew everyone by name. The residents seemed to really like her. The dining area looked like a really nice restaurant. The rooms were like very nice apartments. They have a pool and a hot tub which is under renovation to make it more accessible for the elderly. They have a really nice fitness room and a physical therapy area. They also have an art room, a theater, a really nice room on the second or third floor where they have activities like poker night, a beauty salon, and a beautiful courtyard area where they did outside games. The day I went they had a guy playing piano and doing a little concert in the common area which had a bar area. I was just really encouraged. The place very new. Theyve only been open for a year and a half. The girl also mentioned that there was a button in the unit that everyone has to press before a certain time of day which is how they check in. If they haven't hit their button by a certain time, someone goes and checks on them. The staff is cordial, helpful, and genuinely appeared happy to be there.
