I recently moved into Applewood Retirement Community this past December, but I've actually lived here before. The rent seems high, but everything else is fine and included. I almost never see the manager here, though. I just bump into him in the hall, and that's about it. They have a game room and a pool table, but I never go there myself. The community is quite big, and they do a good job keeping it clean. There are no amenities, and the building is not perfect, but it's fine. The two-bedroom apartment is pretty big, and costs about $900. To me, that's a little high, but in a way I understand it since Colorado has a little high value. Everything is included, like you get air conditioning in the summer, and that's all paid for. It's also in a nice location. If you're a flatlander like I was, I'm within about two miles of the mountains, so I can see them from here quite easily. It's quiet, peaceful, and nobody bothers you. You keep to yourself, you take care of yourself, and that's the way it is. The people are nice, too, and that's why I came back.

The place could be cute but it iplace is infested and a dump. They let residents smoke in their apartments and there is a smell of death in the hallways. Don't let your loved one live here. They will keep the deposit. We did everything we were supposed to do, correctly and they still managed to keep it.

I was not all that impressed with Applewood Retirement Community. There was something about it I didn't care for. I wasn't impressed with the neighborhood. It was on an extremely busy commercial street. The person I dealt with was very polite and answered my questions.

I've been in Applewood Retirement Community for four years. It is cheap. They don't serve food. It's just an apartment. It is clean outside but they don't clean in the apartment. They don't provide any activities at all. Well, I don't have anything to compare it with, it is a five and it's acceptable to me.
