Service, aesthetics, amenities, and price - that says it all. Every single staff member I have met is positive and goes out of their way to help; this stems from the leadership/Director who is super sweet and always smiling. Granted this place is brand new for now, but it's very bright, clean, modern and cozy. It feels like a fancy hotel. The rooms are spacious and cozy with full appliances including a washer and dryer; has everything you need. The food and dining room (more like restaurant) is wonderful - varied, delicious and all served with a smile. It's conveniently located right off the Powers Rd. They offer many activities and outings. They dropped the all-inclusive monthly rate not long ago which was a bit steep. Now it is a fair monthly rate. My mom tells me frequently how happy she is there and I love just to come and mingle with the residents. Lots of family show up and mingle too! Thank you Melody! They are really starting to fill up fast....

I went to tour Melody Living Independent Living. They had covered parking, but no garage available. They pride themselves on a really quiet atmosphere. But to me, it was too quiet, almost like nothing was going on. The staff gave me a complete tour, and they were friendly. They didn't have an indoor pool, but they had an outdoor hot tub. It just seemed sort of unstimulating in its atmosphere.

We have been to Melody Living to visit. My sister is going to their independent living. Our tour was wonderful. It's a very friendly community. The food is excellent, and the apartments are nice. Their staff was excellent. We had a meal there, and it was great. This place has only been open for about one year.

Melody Living Independent Living was the one we liked. We worked with Sebastian. As we walked through, anyone that saw him was smiling and saying hi to him. He would speak to them in English or Spanish to those that spoke Spanish. The rooms were beautiful. The staff was fun and personable. He was just wonderful as a guide. He took us through and showed us everything. They had a very good-sized library. People were sitting out playing cards in groups and games. They had a big area for crafts and painting that they had set aside that people could come to, which was nice. They had community rooms, which were large, bright, and cheery. They had a bar there only for like cocktail hour. It wasn't like a full bar. And if you missed one of the meals or if later on, you still wanted something, they had an area where you could get a piece of fruit. The grounds looked very, very nice. It appeared to be very, very new. They had a small pool with a slide and if you had grandchildren come, they could play out there. It was just everything you could think of. Sebastian himself, whenever there was a birthday, would make it a point of being there, and if they were Spanish, he would sing Happy Birthday to them in Spanish. He was just personable. It was very comforting. My impression there was that it made everybody feel like they were part of a family. Everybody was just wonderful there.

I liked Melody Living Independent Living. It was beautiful, extremely clean, very inviting, and very attractive. The people were awesome. The lunch I had there was very good. It was just a very easy place to be. I can definitely see myself living there. They have great security. They have call buttons in each of the apartments to check in first thing in the morning. It lets security know you are up and OK. You check in at night to let them know you're going to bed. I liked that. They have exercise programs, a nice area for games (like card games and board games), a pool, a really nice socializing areas with a firepit, a hot tub, an exercise room, and a lecture room. There is music once a week (piano, guitar, or whatever's available). They have spiritual services on Sundays with guest speakers each week. It was a very nice place.

We were all impressed with Melody Living Independent Living. It was very nice. We just walked in and I sat down with the lady there and she went over everything with me and asked me what we were looking for. Even the chef came out and met Mom before he was going to start serving lunch. He was very nice, and he asked my mom questions about if she had any allergies, what she was concerned about, and what kind of food she likes. They got all the information. They showed us the one-bedroom and a one-bedroom with a den, which my mom liked. The staff during the tour was very nice and very informative. Whenever we asked, they had the answers. They just took them to the World War II Museum, and they went to the Garden of the Gods. There are a couple of days where they take them to the grocery stores, Target and Wal-Mart. They have an area where they do different crafts and arts, they have a big TV room, and they have a hot tub. They have a hair stylist that comes in, but it's a separate cost (it's just an outside contract). It seems like they had a lot going on. They have a snack area where you can get coffee. The apartments were very modern. They're fairly new from what I understand.
