As with any business, the owner was very much in contact with our family regarding the care of our father. That said, when the contract was signed, the owner said she would give us a copy. That never happened. As well, we were hit with a 2k "community fee", something that had not been mentioned before. My father, a two time Vet, stayed for two days in a room that just had bed in it. Supposedly furniture and a much needed carpet cleaning was "in the works". He literally walked out the door. He is back home now, but of course, now that the owner has the funds (approx 10k) we paid out (of my father's own money), she is unreachable. No choice give there but to call the Ombudsman. Please be aware to get a copy of the contract IN ADVANCE and ensure it suits YOUR needs, rather than the the needs of the owner. Same with hidden fees. In hindsight, a respite visit to see how it went would have been the best way to start.
