Last Sunday was a perfect example of why we recommend Tarzana Health and Rehabilitation. Our sister/sister-in-law needed to get into her mobilized wheel chair. I called, was transferred to Marie and within 5 minutes Theresa oversaw this. Over the time our sister/ sister-in-law has been there, the list of people to thank includes people in the Business office, Social Services, Dietary, Nursing, PT, Activities and Maintenance. Special thanks (but not limited to) Mary, Doris, Faye, Marie, Racquel, Theresa, Penny, Ahdas, Lesley, Normina, Juanita, Alfonso, Marco and the extended staff of doctors and nurses. Additional thanks for all you did to keep everyone safe during COVID. You made phone calls to us on a regular basis and we are most appreciative. Sincerely, Family of Ilaine L.

Tarzana Health and Rehab needs new leadership. As a MBA from a top 10 Business School, I couldn't imagine a more poorly run facility. It is constantly understaffed, fails to implement simple practices for patient and employee well being - such as housing constant screamers in one hallway - so others can sleep. It lacks a constant screen process for patients and thus accepts dangerous "confused" people who can barge into your room and commit violent acts without punishment. The patient who barged into my room - I had never even talked to him - had previously bit and punched female nurses. This is not a place to go to for the rest you need to heal, the security you need to get your mind at peace, or the full care you require to find a path tor recovery. The "Psychiatrist" they call in is a bizarre, third rate, creepy man who interrogates you instead of working with you. On the other hand, the nurses are almost all amazing. Antonio is an all-star who tries his best to find solutions in the storms of chaos. It is too bad the many great staff members - who literally often have to take punches because of horrific leadership - aren't unleashed to their full potential. This place should be shut down.

The LVNs and Nurses aides are very caring and competent, and get to know the residents personally. Staff members seem to be helpful to one another. Everyone does their best

Tarzana Health is a great center. I did like the facility. I liked the way it was designed. There's very easy accessibility and the facility is very clean. A happy environment. The front office people were very knowledgeable, polite and a very welcoming behavior as mannerism is concerned. The rooms were easily accessible. Nice, bright, clean, open, accessible hallways. Access to other support and various eating facilities. Physical therapy areas and things that I thought was nice. They did offer the convenience of patients that could walk on their own. Once they needed some kind of assistance, they have wheelchairs and things of that nature. The staff was very polite, bright and intelligent on how to apply the aspects of a professional nursing care. I did like the way they express the services and their outlook with their patients. They did have some type of work curriculums. I did see that their credentials were posted in a way where people there were wondering whether or not they were professionals, you could easily have access to seeing that part also. The only thing about it is that I thought that this facility wasn't as restricted enough so a person could easily just walk out of the facility. I thought that the people there seemed like they were happy. They were content, they were extremely neat. They have flowers and things in their proper places. Some of the lighting in there, I thought was very good and you could see very well. They have not just one exit but a couple of convenient exits like one towards the parking area which is cool for family members, people coming in and out of this facility.
