My father is in Mount Miguel Covenant Village. When you walk in, you don't smell anything. There's a nice little foyer, then you pass the nurse's desk to get to the rooms. It's all roommate style. The rooms are small, so only one person can sit down at a time. You have to sit on the bed to visit with your parents. They have a place where you can go to with a large conference table, have meetings with the staff or you can sit there with your parent. They have a lawned area that you can roll your parent out and it's nicely decorated with lots of flowers and just a pleasant outing. The food depends on your diet and it could be very bland. The staff is nice. The one thing I had concerns with is that if my dad tells an attendant something, sometimes the information doesn't get to the nurse. Like, if I come back from the doctor with my dad, I'll hand over the paperwork of what the doctor wants. It might be a medication change. You got to make sure that you relay that to the front desk and show them on the paperwork, "Hey, the doctor says he needs this and this" because a couple of days later, I'll ask, "Is he getting this?" The nurse will say, "What medication?" or "I didn't see that in any order." You have to make sure you check up on their appointments at the front desk if he's been scheduled. One time I almost missed the appointment because it wasn't scheduled, but they got it scheduled right away and transported him there. Everything else is good; they just need to work on that administrative area. They have bingo and artwork, anything to keep their mind going. They try to get you up and out of your bed, as much as possible. They try to have a lot of activities for them. Each person has their own TV. Each has a bathroom in the room and closets. They have their own dressers. The rooms are kind of small, but it's OK for rehab. I just have to make sure that all his needs are met as far as doctors change and getting him to his appointments. Otherwise, the staff is great.

Our tour at Covenant Living at Mount Miguel was very good. We enjoyed it. The staff was very nice and very attentive. The facility is OK (not super, but they're fine). The rooms were pretty good. They were pretty nice, fresh, and comfortable. They offered us food, but we didn't have time to do that. They're kind of just ordinary, They have a nice garden area outside the walkways. They have indoor stuff like a library and common areas.

Since the COVID pandemic, Mount Miguel is understaffed, filthy and no one can do their job. They won't even do the minimum

We went to Covenant Living at Mount Miguel for activities, people in our organization lived there, and we've been out there to do cookouts. It has pleasant surroundings and it's a nice facility. It looked like something that would appeal to us. As a guest, and for the things that I saw, I was impressed with it. It was clean, well appointed, and the lady's room we visited was a one-bedroom apartment. We also visited a house outside the perimeter, but it belonged to them.

Mount Miguel Covenant Village was wonderful. They have over 30-acres, it looks over a reservoir lake, and they have a lot of walking paths. They have many facilities like a place to garden, a movie theater, a gym that has somebody in attendance, and a swimming pool. Another thing I really like about it is that you do not have to eat all your meals in the dining room. You only have to buy a minimum of 15 meals a month. The independent units have a complete kitchen, so you can socialize and eat for your main meal, but you can do the other meals on your own. They also have meals that they can fix for vegans, which is wonderful. Everything is very fresh and they had a large variety. The staff is very friendly and answered my questions.

I have friends at Mount Miguel Covenant Village. It's residential and assisted living. I've been in one of the apartments and they were very nice. Every time someone moved or even when they're living there, they paint and change the carpet if they want to. They update the apartments all the time. The apartment I saw was almost like a small house. It had a front door, a kitchen and a back door. It was more than just an apartment building. Their food was very good and they had a beautiful dining room. They had waiters that come to the table and place your order, which was very formal. It was close to the ocean and it was such a beautiful place. They had pools and exercise rooms and they had someone in the exercise room to make sure they're OK. They have teachers that teach different classes, and they also have yoga. They really work on keeping them healthy and active.

The staff at Mount Miguel Covenant Village is competent, caring, and skillful. My brother was in a 2-bedroom; the rooms were not huge, but they were adequate. There was enough space for a visitor to come and for him to get in and out of bed. There’s physical therapy, and there are some group activities. I’ve never eaten there, but he thought the food was fine. I think there was a genuine interest in the patient. He had a good experience there.

The one that we cared a lot about was called Mount Miguel Covenant Village. Prior to getting to the facility, the neighborhood around is not a safe area. The facility itself is very, very nice. The units are very nice; they're very spacious. Each individual facility has a patio or a deck with storage on either end. It was just something I felt that would be satisfactory for us. It's a very big facility. The grounds are absolutely wonderful. They have koi ponds; they have waterfalls. They have outside cooking facilities, picnic areas, and a lot of walking trails. It's very, very well landscaped. It's just a beautiful facility.
