I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

Staff is horrible took them 30 minutes to come check on patient after pushing their call button patient soiled their pull up. Rn's and Lvn's just sit and ignore call buttons and will not help the Cna's staff does not bathed patients very well family member got a bad rash on bottom and really bad Stinky crusty toe ham between toes. Staff was to always stay with patient while eating due to choking hazard and they constantly left him a l lone in room while eating. Meditation was always late. Maryanne greets you when family arrives after that she is no where to be found. Don't take your love one here horrible experience.

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

My mother had a terrible experience there as she waited a few days for a scheduled surgery. Then, the night after she had surgery, she had a dream, fell out of bed (no railings on the beds), re-injured the place that had been operated on, injured her back, and I was not informed. She was still in agony and bloody bandages about 8 hours later, when I got there to move her to another facility. This place is very unorganized, understaffed, and poorly managed.

Do not send your relative to this place. They treat their residents horribly. I have tried to talk to my uncle for over a month and they will not give him the phone even when he had just left the hospital. Today, I have called four times and I was hung up on twice, told to call back a third time and I am still on hold for the fourth call now for over 40 minutes. My uncle tells me that they never tell him that I call so he thinks that no one is calling him. My brother can't get in touch with him also. One of their accountants tried to get me to go behind my uncle's back and get control of his accounts even though he is not behind on any payments and he has no cognitive issues. I cannot stress this enough that this is a horrible place. My uncle is also supposed to get wound care but one of his wounds has not healed for over five years and he has gone back into the hospital several times over those years.

I visited this facility

I like Valley House Care Center. It's very close to my house. The staff is really friendly and very accommodating. It's pretty fair and OK, and they have physical therapy. They have Bingo, someone plays the piano, and someone sings and dances.
