Jeanne Jugan is upgrading the rooms, and the location is nice, but they are kind of a work in progress. My sister knows my mom pretty well and she knows she wouldn’t like it. I only met one lady, and she seemed to be happy. If somebody moves out they go and remodel the room, and I think that would be a good thing.

Little Sisters of the Poor seems to be a pretty solid living arrangement for people that are seeking an assisted living provider. While I cannot comment on the staff, amenities, or facilities in great detail, from what I saw, all seemed to be pretty nice. I took a tour, with family friends, and they showed us where people relax, sleep, eat, etc. The staff seem very caring to not only the needs of the individual, but of the home as a whole. The amenities, while basic (bed, bath, etc.), are maintained well and are fairly modern. The facility itself is organized very well, with tours occurring semi-frequently. The assisted living facility is also located in a very nice area of San Pedro, California. For reference, it is located right next to a church/pre-school, which can be a positive or negative of its residents. All in all, I would say the Little Sisters of the Poor is a wonderful assisted living provider, with a very friendly environment
