Stellar Care is not a large community so they have quite a bit of staff and it's almost like a family-related type of community. Every time I walk in and ask where my friend is, they know exactly where he is. He's on a level that accommodates him for his special needs and he's well looked after. They have events on the patio that he enjoys. It's a beautiful courtside patio in the middle of the building. They're very good at communicating as well. It's just a very nice place and you just get a feeling of warmth there as you walk in. The facility is clean and he enjoys the food very much. I went and visited many places, and this was the one that I thought was the best for him, because he enjoys the outside a lot and there, he can roam around in his wheelchair and go to any event that he wants to go to. Every time you turn around, there's somebody right there helping somebody. It's amazing. The staff has been there for a long time, too, and they're just very caring. I am very grateful that I found this place for him.

Stellar Care was nice. The facility was nice and well cared for. They looked like they were very caring. Their staff had been there for a long time. There was very little turnover. Everyone seemed pleasant, even though they weren't expecting me. It definitely looked like a positive place, it just wasn't a good fit for us. They were great. They were cheerful and helpful. They looked like they were happy and committed to doing a good job.

I toured Stellar Care. I found it to be friendly, inviting, and engaging for the people that lived there. I think it was Kerry that gave us a tour. She was excellent, answered all our questions, and gave us a lot of her time. My friend, when he's in that condition, he's not there yet, but he will be there because he does have dementia, and I wouldn't hesitate to put him in there. I think he would be in a great environment. When we toured, they were having lunch at that time. We did not ask to try the food. The dining area was functional and seems to be well run. People seem to be enjoying their lunch. They did have a salon where people could get their hair styled, or cut. It seemed to be well set up. I felt the rooms were adequate, they're a little small, but for one person they were very functional. There was no odor or anything like that. It did have its own bath, and it did have a small refrigerator. From what I saw, upkeep was excellent. This is a lockdown facility, so they were very good at using their keys and letting people in and out. If you need a secure facility for your loved one, I would say that would work. The only drawback was visiting, parking was tight. Other than that, it was well run, clean, and the program person was excellent. She introduced us to the rest of the staff, the reception staff, when you first come in if you're coming in off the street. We saw some of the program people that are assisting people with getting from here to there. I think she introduced us to at least five of her staff members. They're friendly. I didn't find any problems with them.

We were especially impressed with Stellar Care. The whole thing is for people with dementia or Alzheimer's. It was a very welcoming atmosphere and everybody that worked there seemed like they really, truly cared and knew each other and use their name. It was just really impressive. The rooms all looked beautifully decorated with lovely paintings. The whole atmosphere was very upbeat. The staff during the tour was wonderful. You could tell she truly loved what she was doing. Stellar Care is actually family-owned and operated. They're all related and they're just wonderful, dedicated people. The menu looked very excellent. We never got to check any food or anything. The activities were well attended. Some of them were doing exercise, some were doing some painting, and some were playing. There were a lot of people there. The room was full and everybody was into this activity. The food looked great, from what I could tell. I liked their attitude. You can tell that they really care about the residents and call them by their first name and they're just really caring. I would feel comfortable taking my loved one there.

We chose Stellar Care because it's a smaller facility than the others, and it is specifically for clients with different levels of dementia. The clients all have their own rooms, and I know it is very clean. The staff is absolutely wonderful. I'm very happy with it. They update me on my mom weekly, and they give me an evaluation of how she's doing and what she's been doing, including recent activities. There's a library there and numerous puzzles and games. They have a wonderful outdoor pavilion, where you can go and watch movies on a big screen. There's a TV in my mother's room that she watches. It's a very clean place and very easy to get around. There's four different levels of care. She's very happy there. They have little outings that they go on. Sometimes they will take a group to a park to take a walk, and on their way home they'll stop and have ice cream. There's a family room. You can go out into their courtyard with your loved one. It has very nice furniture. There are some plants there, and it's right next to the little pavilion.

My dad moved into Stellar Care. I've only been there twice, but it looks good to me. I like it. What I don't like about it is, I wish my dad lived next to me like he was before he went in there. It's like $1,500 less than others, but it's a nice place. It didn't go down as far as the amenities. It's a good place. The staff is really good, and he said the food is really good. They have activities there. They go on field trips and stuff like that. They have a movie night and different programs there. The whole place is memory care.

I was impressed with Stellar Care. It was a very, very positive experience. The staff was very informative and very caring about the residents. I was very happy with that. In fact, I would pursue that further in my own search. One of the things I really liked was that even though it's memory care, the construction of the building was in a triangle, so there's an inner court that's open. They can be outside, but very protected. The environment was great, and they had activities. I wouldn't say the rooms were the most positive part of it. The location was pretty accessible for me. It's in a very populated area, but easy to get to.

My dad moved into Stellar Care, it's fine, it's seemed really good, and the staff is amazing. The dining area is beautiful and nice, but they try to keep him on the third floor, and it's a smaller dining room. They have sing alongs, they play, and they do art work.

My Mom moved into Stellar Care. It is really nice, clean, and modern. The staff is really friendly. They keep the residents there really engaged. They discourage them from having TVs in their rooms so that they can participate in activities more often. They have things like Bingo and trivia, and they read the news to them in the morning.

We went to Stellar Care, and that’s where we placed grandma. It’s a memory care place. They have different dining rooms, so some people eat earlier, and some eat later. They have activities going on every day in the different rooms.

Stellar Care, so far, is so good. It is convenient to where I live, and it’s a locked facility, so they cannot go out. It's super clean, the rooms are very nice and large for one person. It looks like a big hotel. I sat with my dad while he was eating, and the food was great. They have bingo, get togethers, library, and lots of things going on.

We stayed at Stellar Care at Collwood for about a week but they wouldn’t accept our return after a hospital stay. It was okay but it was too active for my wife. They were not able to manage her condition very well. On a financial basis, I would rate them about 1. She went in on November and I paid for that full month plus their startup cost so I paid for the month of December and they can’t give me any prorated refund. Basically, I paid full two months plus the initiation charge and only got about one week of care out of it in two weeks.

Dad lived here for almost two years. We chose this facility because it's very nice and clean. The management itself is outstanding; its family owned. He had his own apartment, a regular-sized room with his own bathroom and shower. They kept it clean, and they had very good housekeeping. The staff are very caring people. I liked that they really cared so much. The food was excellent. It was served hot, and they had a lot of different things. The activities were great. They had activities going on every hour, and they had a very good entertainment director.
