Room was clean, ALL staff was excellent, professional and happy to be there. My mom (85) spent 5 days after hip replacement, the staff was awesome. This is a great place and I would recommend it to anyone.

horrible place. staff ignores patient and family. any request is immediately forgotten. staff may apologize but will continue on their way. My family member suffered an infection that they refused to acknowledge, we had to call 911 to be readmitted to hospital. i could go on and on but i'm sure it would do no good

I visited Carmel Mountain Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center. The room that was available was more of a nursing home. It's someplace I would want my mom to be because it was sterile. The rooms are just basically hospital rooms. The person that took me around was very nice, very friendly, and very informative. It was very clean. Because of Covid, there wasn't a lot going on. I saw the physical therapy room and the activity room, but nothing was going on. They showed me the dining room, but they weren't using that because of COVID. They have an interior courtyard so that people can be outside, which I thought was nice. I did not talk with anyone other than the person that took me around.
Awesome Place

Terrible - old, overpowering perfume masking odors in lobby, extremely long wait time for response to patient call button, failed to contact Dr. when change of meds indicated. Patient was having a myocardial infarction with fever and diarrhea and staff failed to notice or take vital signs. He contracted MRSA and facility failed to respond to change of patient status before it was too late. Patient died.

Staff is attentive and well-trained. Residents are treated with kindness and respect. Rehabilitation teams work hard to help residents regain their strength. Medications are given correctly and on time. The quality of care is excellent and includes a very knowledgeable wound care team. Doctors are readily accessible and seem to know their patients and their conditions. Facility is showing its age a little bit and could use some refurbishing. Food quality was good and certainly above average for a nursing home. Very pleased with the care my husband has gotten here.

Carmel Mountain was really expensive. It was $5000 a month, but it was nice and OK. They need to renovate as the rooms were old as well as the furniture. The rooms weren’t as nice.

The Director and his staff were very professional and friendly. The speech therapist, however (by name of Elie, I believe, though good at her trade, was more interested in solving her personal problems (on "company time" than in helping her patients get well.
dissappointed

The place is not clean. The food is horrible. They only give you a bath once a month and shoot water in your eyes and no soap!
