This is the worst place to leave your loved ones for skilled nursing or long-term care. The care provided is very poor. Always short-staffed, not adequate supplies for nurses and CNAS to do their jobs correctly. Administrative employees are very rude. Management is very poor. no organisation at all. The building is very old and no appropriate maintenance: leakage of water in bathrooms due to old plumbing, resident beds not functioning properly, most equipments broken and squeaking, DME is old and overused. I wouldn't recommend anyone to use this facility for SNF or LTC.

My brother was a resident at Saint Claire's for 4 months during which time his overall physical condition took a turn for the worse. Family located close by the facility visited daily. There were constant issues that warranted complaints to the nursing staff on multiple occasions: Many times my brother waited 45 minutes for someone to answer his call light. It took 2 weeks to replace a broken wheelchair arm on his wheelchair. He was left unattended by the staff in his chair and subsequently sustained a fall on the floor even though it was noted that he was a fall risk, he sustained an eye infection that was not treated until brought to the facility's attention by family, and finally, he was admitted to the hospital ER with pressure sores and cellulitis. My brother ended up dying in ICU and we feel that the nursing center was very negligent in his care and treatment. I do not recommend this facility.

During my mother's recent stay we received efficient, practical care which was dispensed to us in a compassionate demeanor. We observed that all clients received this type of care, not just our mom. One thing that impressed me was that effort was made to keep everyone clean about their own person(bathing, changing soiled garments and bedding) and the floors and rooms were constantly washed and freshened. Interaction between staff and residents was indicative of caring and respect for each person's dignity. These are things that go above the nuts and bolts of day to day care, making St. Claire's a place that wasn't depressing to stay.

The staff is very compassionate. My mother is here on hospice and is in end of life stage of dementia, everyone has been very supportive of us and focused on trying to keep her comfortable. They have made a very painful time much more bearable.
