We are looking into Carefree Senior Living - North Natomas. It is not too far from where we are now. I had a friend who lived there for a while. They have activities going on there. They have a clubhouse. They have a bus that takes people grocery shopping and things of that nature. They also have a person that is in charge of activities. They go out to different restaurants and different activities. She had a villa. It was large and over 1000 sq. ft. It was 2-bedrooms and 2-bathrooms. They have a pool. They have a small gym. They have computers, and they have a clubhouse that is fairly large.

I live in Carefree Senior Living - North Natomas. My experience is OK. The staff is really lazy. The gates don't work half of the time. Cars are constantly getting broken into or stolen. The maintenance is good, but it needs more lighting. The clubhouse is nice. The food is not good lately, but it was really good before. They have a heated Jacuzzi, a pool room, a gym, happy hour, and chair aerobics. They have a lot of things to do to keep them busy.

Carefree Senior Living - North Natomas was nice. I feel like I would be safe there because that's the number one thing for me. I need to feel safe. The staff who gave the tour was very good. They're nice to everybody. They're friendly. The people there seemed happy because they had this place to eat, and gather there for activities and stuff like that. The people seemed to be okay. I like the layout; I like this place. There are a lot of trees and walking trails. It's a huge place compared to the other places. The only thing is that it's not a fancy place.

I am currently at Carefree Senior Living - North Natomas. The other seniors here are very nice. They have wonderful landscaping here with trees and grass. They have a very nice pool, a lovely library, and an exercise room. They need to improve the food. It's served on paper plates and plastic. They are putting out minimal service for the food, whereas other places have outstanding chefs. During COVID, they had food trucks come in and serve very unhealthy food. You don't get a choice on the menu, and they give you a calendar for the whole month. You can sign up for it or not sign up for it. They have a lot of volunteers. I would give the maintenance a five-star rating. They have bingo, card games, and chair aerobics. The facility is pretty good. I haven't used the salon or the gym. It's fairly convenient for shopping, but it is probably at least 15 to 20 minutes to the nearest hospital.

I've picked Carefree Senior Living at North Natomas and I'm moving in. They're nice. The townhouse is going to fit my furniture, which was important to me. It's big enough for my furniture. Everything I looked at was really small, it reminded me of a nursing home, and that turned me off. I don't want to live in a nursing home. They have a swimming pool and activities for seniors. They have like an agenda calendar. I work still, so I'm not so much into the agenda or the breakfast and lunch meals that you can have at the center. But the staff told me, 'We can make a lunch or a breakfast for you when you're going to work,' which is nice. It's a very clean-looking community. It's gated and safe. The price is good, too. The first one I looked at, they wanted $3200 a month for a studio, and here, I'm getting a townhouse with a garage attached (a two-bedroom) for $500 cheaper. The kitchen is nice. The other places I looked at had kitchenettes, but this is a full kitchen with a dishwasher, microwave, an oven, and a refrigerator with automatic ice. It also has a washer and dryer in the unit. They have everything set up. They give you the numbers to where you got to call for other things that you have to set up for yourself, so there's the ease of the preparation, and they're pet friendly, and that too was a big plus for me because most places ask for a pet deposit, but they ask for a pet bond, which is different. So you're paying $15 a month for your dog being there, but you have a dog park for your dog. It's just more than I expected.

Right now, I'm living in Carefree Senior Living at North Natomas. I live with my parents and our lease is up in six months, my parents are going in their separate ways, and I don't have anywhere to go. I'm disabled and I have health issues. It's a nice community, I wish I didn't have to move, but because the rent is so high for my own income, I can't stay here. But I'm waiting on the voucher and hopefully, that voucher will come before August, so that's the situation right now. The staff is great. The room is very nice. It's excellent. I have my own room, and I just wish I could stay here. If I can afford it, I was going to get myself a one-bedroom or a studio, but I can't afford it. They have a cafeteria, but with COVID, they only bring your meals to you, so we can't go into the cafeteria. Everything is shut down. They have bingo, they have line dancing, they have parties, and they have things that you can do. They have cards, arts and crafts, and exercises. They have a lot of stuff here.

This facility is supposed to be a senior community. I know of a 28 year old man living there with his girlfriend of 32 years of age. This guy is married to another and living there. He has now brought his 5 year old son there to live. There is no way that a 5 year old should be living there. Management has been informed and has done nothing.

I took a tour of Carefree Senior Living, and it was great. They're very nice and very down to earth people. They're very good to talk to. They have a huge area for people, a library, a billiards room, a game room, and they serve breakfast on certain days of the week that's included in your rent. I haven't really paid that much attention to the amenities. I just was more interested in the apartment. The staff was very nice and helpful, and the facilities were immaculate. It was a very nice and big facility. It was very quiet and very convenient to everything. They offer buses and all kinds of things that you need.

1 month after moving in, fridge blew up ,took over 1 month to fix, discovered closet completely damaged by accumulated water, with mold entire closet. contents destroyed. manager stated damage & mold caused by clogged a/c condense. manager said water needed to be extracted & several days to dry. service order on door advising "molded sheet rock needs removal 7/11/20- calls to manager-no response, 7 notices from 3/20-7/20 to property managers. Hired mold inspector& told harmful mold-in unit and air. forced to break lease and move due to sons ongoing illness In 2/21 informed by credit monitoring account was sent to collections, despite numerous attempt to reach agreement and never notifying me of anything despite numerous attempts to reach management and resolve.. On 2 occasions, managers left message regarding withholding rent but refused to address mold. sadly i was forced to choose with my sons poor health or leaving early due to report of toxic mold.

I'm in Carefree Senior Living at North Natomas. The facility is getting older now and things are starting to not work, but before the COVID thing, it was fine. They had lots of activities and it was great, but since then, we're in quarantine. Life is just difficult. We have a bus, but we don't take it anywhere. I think they take them when they go to the grocery stores, but I'm just ordering groceries and getting half of them. Everything we do is problematic these days, so I can't blame it on them. They try really hard to keep us well. We have a number of people that have the virus now, so they've been cracking down even more, but it's been a great place to live. We had continental breakfast every day, and on Thursdays we had a full breakfast. We enjoyed going to breakfast. The one thing people say is we miss our breakfast with our friends. We're isolated now, we don't have meals, but we had dinners for like Christmas and all that. The staff is very friendly and very good, but they're a little understaffed. The amenities are great.

I moved in early March. I get the pandemic limited social activities and routine trips to grocery store. My 2Nd month while watching tv, the refrigerator Door blasted open and the glass shelves shattered sending glass everywhere. I called management and was told this was considered an emergency and someone would come directly, it took almost 2 months , and five calls. I had no working refrigerator during that period when maintenance arrived they commented the whole unit needed replaced. A pandemic doesn’t excuse this basic necessity. In July, I discover a closer in master bathroom flooded and covered in black mold. I couldn’t figure out what was making us sick and receiving medical treatment. As of October 5, the whole closet is torn apart, they discovered the a/c condenser clogged creating major water leaks , and black mold spewing through ac. A lot of tenants are cranky and mean and rude. You can’t blame them, the staff has performed 100 percent less of their jobs yet they can’t repair uninhabitable high rent homes. Don’t move here

I have been living in Carefree Senior Living for a month and a half. I have a little apartment and it's a nice facility. They have bus trips, a swimming pool, a hot tub, card games, continental breakfast every morning, and plenty of walking areas. Everything has been good so far with the staff.

I have signed a contract with Carefree Senior Living in Natomas since I was looking for a gated place. They offer all sizes of apartments for seniors 55 and older. I have rented a large villa, which has 1,000 square feet of space, two bedrooms, two-bathrooms, and a full kitchen. There is a little patio and backyard for my dog. We just had our Christmas party. On different days, they have certain things like continental breakfast and coffee muffins in the morning. We all do our own cooking for lunch and dinner, but they have a lot of really good things for breakfast. They go to different places and have a bus that will take anybody on outings. They have exercise classes and dancing. They also have a swimming pool. It is a really nice place and very well decorated, too.

Carefree Senior Living was an awesome place. The staff was wonderful, and there were gardens to grow vegetables in. It’s only 10 years old. They offer everything from one-bedroom suites to villas that are almost like homes. They have their own bus, breakfast, pool room, and beauty parlor on-site. You pay more, but you get more. We are moving there in three weeks.

Carefree Senior Living - North Natomas is an extremely nice place. They have different kinds of apartments, but we chose the two-bedroom, two-bath apartment because it is more open living, so my husband's wheelchair can move around easily in the bathrooms. We have a very nice patio. Most of the residents here are probably 10 years older than us. They fix us hot breakfast, and weekly, they provide hot lunches, too, which you have to sign up for because it is catered by a restaurant and only $3 a piece. They really bend over backwards to care for their residents. They have a bus that takes us shopping and can accommodate someone in a wheelchair. I have a full kitchen and a washer and dryer, and they take care of the grounds. We don't have any real complaints here. It is a very large and quiet place. It is a gated community, and they have somebody that patrols around the place all night.

I was at Carefree North Natomas, and I loved it there. It’s a beautiful place, and the grounds are very nice. I enjoyed living there for about two years. The apartment is awesome, and they keep it spick and span. Everyday there is something going on. They have a calendar each month telling me the activities. They have a beautiful bus. Overall, it’s a wonderful place.

I am waiting to hear from Carefree Senior Living, and it's a lovely and nice place. The apartments were really lovely, and I was trying to get a 1-bedroom. They have exercise, and they go on bus tours.

I went to visit Carefree Senior Living and I was very impressed. It had all the amenities that I didn't have in my place and it was cheaper. There was an activity director who planned the activities for the whole month. They did not serve meals but every Friday there was a get together and they served snacks. There was always something going on everyday.
