My mom moved into Gateway Post Acute. They are doing well, considering the circumstances with my mom. Right now, she's in the short term, which is probably going into the long term. They keep us informed on everything that goes on. Sometimes the food is really good, and other times it's horrible. I've been there several times when my mom was eating. My mom has therapy every day. They offer some Bible study classes. They give you a calendar, and each week they have different activities that the clients can go to if they want. Medicare pays for it. My mom's room is clean and small. This facility does not have the smell that some of them do. There's no odor there when you walk in. We were impressed with that.

This is an older 160 bed skilled nursing facility that is part of a family owned and managed organization with three other locations. The grounds are nicer than the inside. They have started to remodel; beginning with replacing the hall carpeting with laminate flooring. There were many patients sitting around in their wheelchairs. I could hear some calling for help. This facility appears geared towards the Medical patient. The rooms were semi-private (2 to 4 to a room) with vinyl flooring. The posted menu had standard fare and the kitchen was clean. The odor factor was low and acceptable considering the level of care. I would give this 2 3/4 stars.
