It is located in the highly popular Chinatown area of Oakland, adjacent from Madison Park, and blocks from the Lake Merritt BART station. Doh On Yuen features 19 studios, 19 jumbo studios and 10 one-bedroom units. Residents are welcome to use the various community spaces including the outdoor patio, community room, and laundry facilities. Doh On Yuen’s rehabilitation began in mid-2012 and included a complete makeover of the exterior, renovation and expansion of the interior common spaces, and accessibility and seismic upgrades, all while maintaining full building occupancy.
