Windsor Gardens has four wings with different types of patients. It's very clean, the care is excellent and my friend is getting wonderful therapy. The food is good, and the people are extremely nice and very accommodating to her. They have a craft time, movie time, and chair dancing.

Windsor Gardens, which has 240 beds and offers both convalescent and longer term care, is a cut above many facilities in the area. The outside is beautifully landscaped and looks more like an apartment complex than a hospital or typical nursing home, blending into the surroundings. It's not really attractive, but doesn't look too institutional. The back of the building is connected to a park, which some of the residents frequent for fresh air and exercise. There are also shopping malls nearby along with restaurants and a market, which residents and their guests use and enjoy. The inside is always clean and free of odors. The receptionist area is nice and staffed there is helpful. Some rooms are private, but others have three patients to a room; all the rooms are very large and very well maintained, and residents are able to bring their own touches to personalize their surroundings. The floors are really shiny and immaculate"”a good indicator of cleanliness; the maintenance staff is always busy cleaning, but not in a disruptive way. There is a nice dining room and a huge and well-staffed kitchen appetizing food, some in keeping with special dietary demands. Some residents are fed in their rooms, and occasional snacks are also provided. The activities, including music therapy, are led by several of the staff members, including CNAs. They are very attentive, especially to the residents who are not ambulatory. There is also bingo and a social night. A huge calendar is updated regularly, showing all scheduled events. In fact, the staff at all levels and at all times seems pleasant and in tune with the residents. Other niceties include a beauty parlor onsite. And many of the services, such as mobile X-ray, come into the facility, which is very convenient for those who live there.
