My mother is now a resident of Golden Guest Home III. It's a very well-staffed place and they're very caring. She's in a semi room which is for 2 people. They didn't have any private rooms open. They could probably accommodate 8 residents with 2 private rooms and 2 shared rooms. They have entertainment that comes in and they play games once in a while. The layout of the place itself is all good. The price for a shared room is kind of high.

Golden Guest Home was just a house. It was a nice place for someone who wanted more individual care. I was impressed with it. I would have chosen it for my husband, but then they said someone else took the room. Golden Guest Home was a big house that had several bedrooms for people to stay in, yet it was homey and clean. There was a big kitchen and a staff member was cooking some soup on the stove. She stopped cooking and led me on a tour of the house. They had a big living room and she showed me the bedroom where my husband would be. The backyard was very nice, it had fruit trees and lots of sun to it. I was impressed with it. I wanted to put my husband into that place and he would have gotten individual attention. The staff was very caring, too. There were two other people that I saw that were there and they were clean. It smelled good, too.

We liked Golden Guest Home III, but they refused us because they said that there was too much care involved for Mom. They showed us the room that she would be in and the woman was very sweet. She thought it would be a good fit for my mom. We waited for her to come out to do the evaluation, but we didn't even get a call back. I had to call them back two days later because no one went out to see my mom and evaluate her. She said they can't take her because the amount of care involved would be too much for them when originally she said that it would be a perfect fit and that was very discouraging to me. It's just a regular house with a dining table. There's nothing really special about it. It was clean, pleasant, very quiet, well taken care of, and in a good area. They should not turn somebody down until they actually evaluate them. It was a nice facility and I would have loved to put my mother there, but I was just disappointed with the people.

We weren’t given a tour at Golden Guest maybe because they only had 1 room. We only saw one place, and it was not clean.
