My father has moved into Brightwater Senior Living of Highland. The staff is very compassionate. It is a beautiful place. It is a really lovely environment. It's a very positive place for my dad, so far. The food is fresh. It is a varied menu, and it is good. There is housekeeping once a week. They have a lot of activities. It's a very dynamic community with everything from scenic drives to bingo. I see groups of people always doing hair and nails. They have a theater that they can watch movies in. You have to consider that assisted living is difficult, so it's not going to be like a hotel. I hope other people will check them out. It's probably the best in this area. It has beautiful views. It's pretty much on par with the other really good facilities. It's not a cheap place. Communication is very good. They are very responsive. My father is very happy there.

My parents were residents of Brightwater Senior Living of Highland. The staff comes in and they're supposed to give them a bath, and we pay extra for things. But if they didn't want to the staff won't pursue it and will just say okay. We had a discussion, and they're supposed to call me if my parents are refusing or if one of them would sign a paper that says they refuse, and the staff only called me once and didn't do that anymore. They only have 1 elevator in the whole place, and the elevator broke twice while they were there for a week at a time. My parents were on the bottom floor, so they would have to go up the stairs or go outside around to where they could eat their meals. They had lots of wonderful activities and entertainment, they have a bus that took them shopping, to events and everything. The crafts were great at this community, but my parents don't like to do that. The layout was so inconvenient and it was so much larger than my parents' current community which had 2 elevators. They have a beauty salon, library, exercises and they also have exercise therapy every morning or 3 times a week. Once a week every friday in the assisted living, they have the walking club that walks outside the building. It was all great. The kids from the community would come in at Christmas and at Halloween, they invite them in so it's nice. When I wanted to put my mother in memory care, my dad would have to stay in the assisted living part, they said that my parents would have to be in separate rooms and we didn't want them separated. I would rate the supervisory or managerial people a 3, but the staff who really took care of my parents I would rate a 4. On the weekends, none of the managerial people are there. Also on the weekends, there was not that much staff there so the workers that were there had to cover everything.

My mother has been a resident at Brightwater assisted living now for 11 months and I'm ashamed to have taken so long to express how pleased and happy to have my mother living at this wonderful facility. The staff and administration in particular are extremely friendly and caring. By no means do you feel that your inside a sterile or cold environment. The facility is more like a lavish resort or community that provides activities and resources that are social and health related. Have been overwhelmed how well my mother has adjusted to senior assisted living.

I can't say enough good things about Brightwater Senior Living of Highland. The staff is very caring, very positive, and concerned not only about my mother, but every person there. They call them by their names and they're attuned to their needs. The place is gorgeous and it's worth every penny. My mom is in a studio, which is affordable, adequate, very spacious, has a small kitchenette which includes a full-sized fridge, sink, and has plenty of cupboard space for any kind of snacks. There are lots of closet spaces and the bathroom is very generous in size. It also has a walk-in shower that accommodates her wheelchair. They have so many amenities and a full schedule of things that you can do or not do. They have a variety of activities inside as well as outside of the facility, which they provide transportation for. My mom doesn't particularly enjoy the food as much as I think she should. They have very nice variety of gourmet meals and she's just not used to that, but the food is plentiful and good. The facility is gorgeous. It's very expensive, costly and you get what you pay for, but not everybody can afford it.

We choose Brightwater Senior Living of Highland, and it is spectacular. My parents have a living room, a bedroom, and a bathroom. The food is delicious, and they’re perfect about giving them their medicines. I can’t say enough about how wonderful these people are. They have activities from 8 o’clock in the morning till 7:30 at night. They take them on little field trips to Hobby Lobby, Wal-Mart, JC Penney, and Target. They had a special veterans thing. They had a Thanksgiving dinner for them where the families could come. They’re having a Christmas party. They’re taking them to a dinner and dance. We go everyday to see them because we only live 5 to 7 minutes away from them. It’s pricey, but you get your money’s worth. Both my parents are level 2, so that adds a little bit, and it’s about a little under $6000 a month. I would suggest it to anyone. We have been super pleased with everything and all the people there, and we’re very happy.

We picked Brightwater Highland because of location and the friendly people. We liked the place, and the fact that it's close to the family. The rooms and apartments are very nice, well kept, and clean. The dining area is very nice. They're very cordial. They go for walks, have a little outside area where they can go and sit, live music, and yesterday, they were passing out popsicles to everybody. They were overly friendly.

Brightwater Senior Living of Highland was very new, modern, and clean. Everybody was very friendly, helpful, friendly, personable, and knew what they had to offer. I was very pleased. They were very organized and had good, top-of-the-line activities on a regular basis. They were very thorough. We've been back twice. I brought my brother and parents, and they liked it because it's brand-new and had a new home smell. It's just a very nice facility. I have nothing but good things to say about it.

Brightwater Senior Living was a very nice place with nice people. They had everything, and I liked it. The dining room was very nice and had tables with table cloths and silverware. The staff that I talked to was helpful, friendly, and polite. It looked like they were taking good care of the people.

I put in a reservation for my mother at Brightwater. It was great. The person who gave us a tour was very helpful in showing us what was there, what was available, and the three different units. What turned me on was the newness and cleanliness of it and that it was more up to date and modern. I liked the one-bedroom, but my mother wanted the studio because the one-bedroom had a separated bedroom from the living room. It's small, but she doesn't need much room. She wanted to try the studio to see how she would fit in there first. The kitchen was great. There wasn't a stove, but there's a microwave, which was good enough. They have other places where you could go munch and have coffee or a doughnut. The grounds are sufficient enough because they have a little area where they have barbecues on a grassy area with two different chairs and a great view of the mountains. The grounds were really pristine, like going to a 5-star hotel. It was great. I tried the food, and it was fantastic.

Manny, Thank you for the very kind words. Our Brightwater team takes great pride in our community. The care and variety of services we provide is our ability to make sure our residents and family members always feel welcome. We always want to put our best foot forward, and a way to ensure that is always happening is by making sure our community and team members are presentation ready. It was a pleasure showing the community to you, your mom, and aunt. We hope to see you all at our next family gathering!

I liked Brightwater Senior Living because it was clean, the people were very nice, and residents sitting outside seemed happy. The food smelled wonderful. I thought the apartment was very nice. It had new carpet, and they were getting ready to put in a new bath tub; I didn’t like the tub that was in there, and the lady told me they were removing it, so it was very accommodating.

We visited Brightwater Senior Living of Highland. We found it to be lovely, and it was brand new, but the cost was a little bit too much for us. The staff seemed to be fine. The people that we met were very kind. The apartments were very clean and very nice.

The place that I really like was Brightwater. I was going to move my dad there too. They have exercise and a spa. They have good food. They have food at all times for people. They really went out of their way to help their clients. The facility was next to a fire department. I was impressed with this facility. I went there three different times. The rooms were spacious, clean, and brightly colored. It felt like I was in Europe. They have bright paintings on the wall. They have activities -- like they have painting, exercise, dining room, and they have TV at all times. Brightwater was topnotch, and the price was reasonable. It is three stories, but they have elevators. The people were very nice and very helpful. I would move in myself, and I'm usually very picky.

We went to look at Brightwater three weeks ago. It was under construction, but we had very nice tour. A very nice and caring woman took us around and showed us the amenities. We looked at the independent living. But they also had a memory care facility attached. So, if it got to the point where dad needed that kind of care, they had it on the ground. It was a locked in facility where he couldn't wander. We saw the rooms and we thought the studio were small. So, we looked at a one bedroom and that was very nice. Actually, we put a deposit down on it to save a space for him. The room was in the same floor with the dining hall. So, there was no elevators for him to take and it was a short walking distance, which was more appealing to him. The activity rooms were also in the same floor. It had 24-hour nurses on site. The location was perfect because it was only three minutes from my house. So, we thought maybe we would move dad there when the facility was finished. Everything looks and sounds wonderful. It was a little more expensive from where he was now. But we were okay with that because it was closer I could pop in there after work.
