My mom has been in Lemon Grove for two weeks, and she is doing really well. They are always short staffed, but those kids work hard. The rooms are really decent. They have beautiful patios. They have a couple of nice dining rooms, and the food is decent. They are very good, responsive, and answer all my questions. The physical therapy is great. They have activities like bingo, but my mom does not do anything. The place is clean and does not have smell. The staff is very receptive to you.

This place is as close to hell as you can get. They do not CARE and so it is easy for them to leave patients with no help and nothing to do. The food is disgusting and regularly makes patients sick. There is no security, so patients with psychiatric problems can run over patients and staff. There are screaming fights regularly. Took my dad out within the first month.

Please pay someone to care for your family. Don’t send them here. They NEVER want to answer the phone. They are always acting like everything inconveniences them. They are rude. And unhelp. They don’t let you know what goes on with your family member you soon have to find out on your own, they just cannot be trusted. They are shady! If you love your family don’t put them here please. & please all of the employees LEARN empathy and compassion, for this will be your mother or father soon or grandma/grandpa. & you will feel the pain that we feel for the way you treated our family. For that you will get negative reviews from me on every single platform until something is done about this!

My dad has been at this facility for 1 week. He has no bracelet to identifies who he is. The other day there was a pill in a cup next to his bed. He didn't event know what it was. Trash cans over flowing. Bedding hasn't been washed in a week. He hasn't been bathed in a week. He had a bandage placed over a wound held on by scotch tape ( Seriously!) The meals are NOT appetizing. I feel for the amount of money paid to be in the facility the care should be held to a higher standard. It's very sad that the people running this place and working there, feel this is all ok. When someone is placed in a rehab or nursing home this is because they aren't well and need help and to be cared for. I hope someone from this facilities sees this and makes some changes to better care for their patients.

For the most part the staff is pleasant and caring, however.... The place is WAY understaffed. They have little time to take care of patient needs. Words most heard from staff are "I'll be right back". And that's the last you see of him/her. Important meds are forgotten or left out of patients care. Some patients are there for recovery, not for long term care. Medicines are needed.

The staff at this facility is composed of very dedicated and caring people. The facilities are clean, modern, and inviting. The Center has up to date equipment and medical machinery, which provides for a great experience for the residents. iMany of the living spaces have available doors to the outdoor area and patio, which is beautiful. The Center organizes many activities and events for the residents which are fun and varied. The center has a partnership with nearby Universities providing for students to come and interact and care for the residents, which makes for really excellent learning for the students and wonderful relationship development for the residents. This is really the highlight of the center, because even though some of the residents do not receive visitors very regularly, they all are able to become friends with the students and build relationships. I recommend the Lemon Grove Care Center to anybody in the area looking for a wonderful place to live.
