My mom is currently at Kingsburg Care Center. We've been very impressed with it. It doesn't smell bad. We thought we would have trouble getting her in but she is enjoying it. She has some memory issues and they seem to deal with them very well. We are very pleased. She's clean, she's fed, and she's happy. She likes the food and she is putting on weight. The staff has been good. We had a little bit of a hard time starting, just because they wanted us to sign responsibility for her and they were pretty persistent about it, but we didn't want to do that.

My friend is in Kingsburg Care Center. It got off to a rough start, but they finally stepped up, got a private room with a TV, and everything is going along great. They've got a physical therapist that's doing five days a week trying to get his movement back. He's been excellent, patient, caring, and knows his stuff. The facility itself is not really attractive, but the staff is excellent.
Horrible experiance

This is not a facility that is suitable for human beings. The staff members are lazy, unfriendly, and not knowledgeable in elder care. My dad lost 63 pounds in less than 30 days. The food smells and looks bad. They leave patients unattended for long periods. My dad fell to many times to count and had to be taken to the hospital many times for his falls. Not one person follows up on phone calls. Don't pay your bill using a credit or debit card. They are not honest people. My parents bank account was jeopardized the day after my mom paid a bill. Thanks God her bank credited the unauthorized charges back. HORRIBLE care, TERRIBLE people.

Kingsburg was an older facility. The staff was very helpful. One time, the residents were having music time and gathered in a particular room. Another time, they were gathered in a big room and having a snack in the morning. The room was a little bit small but clean. The staff members were very quick to answer the residents' cries for help. We were there when one lady was asking for some assistance, and they were right on top of it. They’re very good.

Talk about activity, they were having their Xmas gift exchange with many families in attendance. Every staff member I encountered were friendly and smiling; perhaps because of the party. Some of the patient rooms have been remodeled with more to be done; no odors. I was told by my guide that they focus on providing a home-like setting. The weekly menus are posted on one side of the kitchen and the daily menu on the other side to avoid confusion for the residents; they can pick their meals. They will be revamping their courtyard in the near future which is currently used by residents or reserved for private family gatherings. The local SPCA brings dogs in twice a week for visits; I would really appreciate this for my loved one. This is a super nice facility.
